Default Triggering a Sound Card

I bought a USB recording module for my Bergepanzer and I want to be able to trigger the sound using the up left stick on the controller. It currently comes with STSP normally open push button switch.

I know how to power it using the 4.5v on the DBC, but I need a way to trigger the sound card using the RX18. Any ideas?

Use a small 6V relay connected to the gun channel

What exactly are you doing with the sound. Is a momentary thing or a what?. I use the exact same card, and use it for cannon sounds or Hit and death sounds triggered by the DBC. You could just run a wire and tie it in to the airsoft fire wire(Blue??) The negative trigger wire must be a shared circuit with the soundd card though. This would mean you would have to have the RX18 and the sound card on the same circuit.

Dan,

I am using this card to simulate repair sounds for my Bergepanzer. I wanted it to trigger when I used the left stick up, but.... perhaps I should tie it in with the DBC. I hadn't thought of that.

Apparently I have an early DBC without any connections to add a sound card.

I have a 50 sec clip recorded on the card. I want it to play when I hit the left stick up on the controller.

Dan, if you could draw me up a simple wiring diagram of what you are talking about it would really help.

If you wired up to the DBC, you could have it play instead of the cannon sound when you press the K button. This card will record 50 seconds of sound, and if you choose the loop feature it will play it continously until you hit the button again.

Anyway, that relay should work. Connect the coil to yellow and brown wires on the turret connector (wires 4 and 5) and the NO contacts to the pushbutton terminals.
