Since the air to ground missles had no guidance system would you not say hitting any vechicle on the ground was almost next to impossible.

Ignore the fact that rockets were unguided they were aimed in exactly the same way as the on-board machine guns the problem is once fired rockets go anywhere bar were they are meant to making them very inaccurate.
In 1944 the British conducted a test using a captured Panther painted white this was placed in the middle of a field making it the perfect target with no one shooting back at the incoming plane, a Typhoon was given the relatively easy task of strafing the Panther using all 8 rockets, this event was filmed and was at one time on youtube though I haven’t been able to find it for some time, none of the rockets scored a direct hit only one rocket landed close to the Panther and it’s not clear weather this caused the fuel tanks to rupture or if they were already ruptured either way this caused the fuel to burn inevitably burning out the tank again it’s not clear if the crew could have extinguished the burning fuel.
This was done under perfect conditions with a tank that stood out under combat conditions this would be worse the tank would be camouflaged and moving possibly with flak guns firing at the plane hence why planes destroyed so few tanks.

This is a sequence of pictures from the test.

Your links don't seem to work for me, is there another website with these pictures?

Edit:
Firefox didn't work for me but IE shows the pics nicely. Thanks!

Mustclimb,

Are the wheels solid plastic or do they have separate rubber? Detail looks good. Turret is a mid/late version. Looks like a good base tank to build up into a good r/c tank. Thanks for showing the break down so we can see the inside. I was considering this tank as well and after seeing this I am going to get one of these and the T-34 for future builds.

Thanks again,

Rudy

they are "rubber" rings on plastic wheels...the tiger is supose to be a mid production but its missing the zimerit.....It even had the welds in the upper hull deck...I am very impressed with this....thinking I am going to pu theupper hull onmay asitam lower hull...the big job is going to be getting the asiatam recoil unit mounted and working in the wsn turret....

Here's my All Metal Mato with brushless motors and 2.4 GHz TX/RX.

There are other ways to go with 2.4 GHz - you can talk to Phil at RCTANKWARS.COM, or many other folks on this forum.
