Default Rx-18 control order problem

Hello all,<div></div><div>I am coming back for a electronic question regarding to HL Rx-18.</div><div></div><div>The problem is when tank turns left, the left track should keep still and the right side moves forwards. When thank turns right, the right track should stay and left side track moves forwards. However, all my tanks which have rx-18, even 2.4 GHz controller have a problem of turning right. When tank turns right, left side track keeps still and right side moves backwards which is really annoying but turning left is okay.</div><div></div><div>Turning left is correct.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Turning right is wrong.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>However, forwards and backwards are not problem at all. Dose anyone know or meet this problem before? Or it is the problem of which all HL tanks have? I appreciate any suggestions and help.</div><div>
Thanks.

Something is wrong. This is not normal for an RX 18. Have you adjusted the trims on your radio.? That is the first think I would look at.

If you can't resolve the issue with trim adjustments. You may have a gear box problem and there is too much resistance in the gear box for the RX 18 to overcome . Because you mention it happening on mulitple tanks Perhaps one of your radio trims is way off.

Yeah, I'd go with a trim adjustment first.

Seems like right movement of the right stick is going too sensitive, initiating the spin.

Can you spin left?

Hi all,

I can spin left and right. no probme at all. also I can slowly turn left with correct track order. However, If I want turn right slowly, only right track moves backwards and left one keeps still unless turnning fast. I have tried to adjust the trim on three radios and the problem still exits. I didnt change gearbox on any tank and they all have their original gearbox installed. Also, I found left track has bit delay when it is moving forwards at balanced trim. Its quite annoying that three tanks have the same problem even 2.4 Ghz one.....

After running is the one motor noticeably warmer than the other?

Hi,

What I found is the left side motor seems has large resistance as it had a moving trend when tank is turning right. Also, I heard some noise from two motors when they are working. I did notice this nosie when I was using Rx-18 but even 2.4GHz the noise still exits. The temperatures on both motor are same from my thermalmeter. I thought the left side might has higher resistance or the driving voltage might be lower than right side.
