My Feedback: (1)
I'm in the same situation as edoubleaz. My new project for the year is to finish all of the projects I have on the shelf that only need a paint job. Painting is not my favorite part of this hobby and I really gotta git organized. I want to paint most of these with a camo scheme and that means I will have to practice up on my airbrushing skills --- which are crappy. I am planning on using Tamiya Acrylics. Any advice about that?

Second the secret to practicing acrylic camo is dull coat and windex. Get your base color the way you want... seal it. Use acrylics for you camo colors and if you fail you can us windex and get right back to your last sealed coat. Practice on a junker!

I am not sure I would recommend a E-100 for a beginner. I have been working on one for at least two years and it still is not done. It is quite a intensive project to convert a Juckenburg kit and Ludwigs doesn't have all the parts you need so it will require a ton of scratch building. Good luck either way!

Currently my interest is cold war and modern RC IR fighting tanks. I have two keeper models that are works in progress. A Type 10 kit and the Leopard 1, both deserved study and developing a list of modifications to make them serviceable, durable and better all around performers.
1. Still in the box, Tamiya Type 10 IR fighting purposed planned modifications: Hinged upper deck, relocate the battery to the hull, add a metal battery tray in hull bottom, beef up the plastic areas, add wheel bearings, install the AFV fine adjustable idler system and install Carson's excellent metal primary transmission gears.
2. On the bench, a Tamiya Leopard 1A4 static to full option IR conversion: Daryl Turner designed and fabricated turret recoil and elevation system, hinged upper deck, add metal hull sponsons, beefed up plastic areas, add wheel bearings with metal cap screw axels, install the HennTec idler system and ETO Black Long Can Motors.
