it looks as if the periscope is turning in traverse with the main gun as in the video ausf posted, check it out just before the tank turns to its right.

other than in a clean room and they are all in bunny suits, could there be a lamer demo?.....nope bunny suits would of been better!!! Will be interesteing to see if the periscope is slaved off the recoil bracket during traverse or perhaps something new. We didn't see how elevation affected it did we?

i didn't see it move with elevation at all, but it definitely moved as the gun traversed. I am really looking forward to this tank.

Great finally... I have a couple of very good Profiline conversion kits on my list of future builds... I wonder if the Tamiya kit is a three Return Roller version or a 4?

It's a 4 return wheel lower. Not much work to remove and realign the 3 though.

The Tamiya kit is a first production run of the LANG... like the earlier Jadgpanzer IV's had. The late LANG's had the use of the steel wheels up front in the first and or second station, 3 return rollers and the late version exhausts.

YEAH they would have zimmerit .. a lang with zimmerit as opposed to the later ones.... it is nice, but I think I'd prefer a 3 return roller later version, because there are quite a few of the 4 wheel modded versions already out there and some are very nicely done... But.. No complaints.. a new Tamiya WWII 1/16 RC tank release is never a bad thing... Joe

So, have anyone bought one yet? Any toughts of it? Thinking if this going to be my next project...
Any solution on the plastic idler wheel? May a metal idler from henglong fit?
I guess the chain tensioner is the same "bad" solution as it is on my Tamiya King Tiger, so maybe I need to build one myself..

That's just great !!!! I love it when I take the time to scratch build a tank and then somebody comes out with a ready to run R/C model before the paint is even applied to my unfinished project. Grrrrrr

Wow!!! Fantastic!! although you could have saved yourself some time by getting the Asistam / Profiline 1/16 Jagpanzer IV Lang conversion kit (which is exceptional) to convert the Heng Long Panzer IV...(see link below) They used to also have a L48 short barrel; version with zimmerit...and the L70A with wire schurtzen.
https://www.asiatam.de/index.php?cat...panzer-IV.html
or the Hungarian guys at:
VANDRAMODEL ? Resin Conversion Kits
Theirs is also pretty good as they also modeled in the weld seems...also a conversion for the Heng Long Panzer IV....
All are exceptional and quite easy to convert the Heng Long Panzer IV into the Jagdpanzer IVs... also there are lots of after market pieces like the Schurtzen and There are also very good Schurtzen hangers available on Shapeways as 3D printed pieces.....

Rex, that's an awesome example of a jagedpanzer. Andbi bet you had more fun doing it than the Tamiya kits. And, now there's a sound set just for you

I've got one due to be built.

ordered some metal wheels for the front bogies and some schumo parts for it.

Atak are making a zimmerit kit for it as we speak so that'll be cool and miles better than the tamiya sheets.

Idler system is better than the king tiger.

Been around a couple of the Tammy's and the biggest complaint is the lack of space for wiring hygiene. Took a look with some of the operators and looked like you could dremel out the firewall to the engine compartment to stuff some wire into. Especially the flash, recoil, and IR cables.
