Default Ordering bolts

Hey new here and to the hobby. I have a panzer IV and I managed to work the bolt loose that connects the drive wheel to the tank. It's lost out in the yard somewhere so I have no chance of finding it. I was curious to know if I could order new ones or what size they are. Thank you

Depends on the brand. Heng Long uses a 3mm and Taigen uses a 4mm hex head (or a cap screw). Pull the bolt from the other side and size it.

Ebay would be the best place to get cheap fastners once you have it sized.

ANY local hardware store has the fastener that will work. Simple, just match it with the other side (it will be a metric) and you will have extras. Use a lite type of loctite (or finger nail polish) on the threads to keep that from happening again.

If all else fails, I have loads of those bolts and I'll send you a couple for free, but I'll need a photo of the remaining bolt to make sure I send the right one. On my PIII they use a hex head bolt because the "hub cap" is so shallow, but most tanks use a socket head cap screw. If you can't find what you need in your locale just let me know and I'll fix you right up.

ZT, you should check these guys out. They have most of the tiny stuff we need and they won't rape you too hard on the price.

I second going to my local Ace Hardware. They have pretty much anything I have ever looked for even very small (under M2) metric stuff.
