The General Dynamics M-60 2000

My Feedback: (1)
I've been playing with toy tanks for 8 years now, but only recently discovered the M-60 2000, aka the M-60 120S or 1220S. Pretty fascinating concept, an M-60 hull with an M-1 Abrams turret. Makes me wonder if a Pershing hull could be modified to stand in for the M-60 (probably not). This is just one more reason our hobby needs a reasonably priced M-60, I'm sure there are other kitbashing possibilities here. So has anyone else looked at this tank and thought crazy thoughts about building one?

For converting the M26 to M60, no way. Like what rich mentioned it's only a matter of time before a proper M60 is made in 1/16. And like Rich I too have a bunch of 60' based vehicles I would love to crank out

Yeah besides this one.
I want to build the Magatch and the Sabra and the A2 Starship and I just have to have an A1 so I can have a semigloss 24087 Olive Drab early varaint. Plus I might have a few other tricks up my sleeves too... So many ideas... Wont have to build Shermans any more lol

This hobby did not develop over night. Tamiya was it for many years with just a couple tanks and they slowly expanded their line. Then there were the WSN junk and then the Mato sherman which was a start but a let down. Then HL came out and recently Taigen and Mato metal.
HL is clearly driving the hobby but not quite listening to customers as far as desired tanks. Small shops are filling the gaps but major companies will hopefully produce more arrays as time goes by. Asking for one tank a year is not too much from manufacturers but its probably hard for them to keep up. HL has been updated alot of their fleet of products to the 6.0 design with idlers that adjust and better parts. That is awesome as it shows improvement in existing products but it also distracts from development of newer products. We cant have it all though we all want it.
These last 2 years have been ridiculasly hard on companies. It will take a few years to recover from. Im amazed HL dropped the Merkeva really. We knew they had it. I think they just wanted to tick off Hooben at this point.
No doubt they will introduce a new tank next year or the year after, and hopefully it will be the M60.
