Local HobbyTownUSA. It is the infrared version, not the air soft
Which city is your store in? Maybe I can get my local store to honor your store's price--yes, that's right, I'd buy another one of these babies! Airsoft version this time!

Vegas baby.
However, I actually purchased the "demo" after the employees and me drove it around the store. Of course, that means it also came with batteries and one of the employees actually hoped that he could purchase it later. The "usual" prices here are around $99.00 + tax and $109.00 + tax. The $109.00 store didn't want to drop the prices since they weren't staying on the shelves, but that same store also let me drive one around and was going to toss in the batteries too.
One time at HTU I purchased 3 new Kyosho Mini-Z-Overlands at $79.00 + tax while the other places were charging around $149.00 + tax and they couldn't figure out why they were selling like hot cakes--basically, two others and myself purchased all of their Overlands except for one model, one model that they didn't mark down the price. Why, I don't know. It's all about timing and luck I guess.

I'm not sure about the run times since I'm still using the batteries that the LHS put in the Iwaver Tank. I only run it for around 5-10 minutes at a time depending on active the hairy kids are at night since I simply let them chase it back and forth. As far as durability is concerned, it doesn't have a lexan body and has a lot of detail so it's not a typical basher if that is what you are getting at. Of course, I wouldn't be smacking the barrel into objects.

Myself, I don't anticipate running it on dirt or perhaps, not even outside. Regarding option parts, I haven't checked into it since I haven't even unpacked the directions. Oops.

Bought two of them today on different channels. My 11 year old has no idea how lucky he is to have a dad like me who is into all of this stuff. Just tested them out today and they are very cool. Bought the infra versions and when they get hit, do they shake. On the sixth hit, the thing goes nuts and then sits and flashes lights till you reset it. Will be a lot of fun stalking each other out all over my place. Can see my 7 year old daughter getting into it too.

This is an RC forum. Keep it RC or I will start deleting and/or editing posts, especially since POLITICS are not even allowed in the off-topic section.
One nice thing about the IWAVER Leopard is that it has lights.

Ok, I was having a bad hair day.
Actually my tank is a Hen long, I maybe wrong but I suspect that IWAVER are made by the same manufacturing company in China along with VS tanks, the features, looks and quality seem to be 'so-very-similar' and they all make exactly the same type of tank, Abrams and Leopard in this 1:24 scale.
Reading through the instructions for my Leopard (mainly in Chinese) it says it's for indoor use only but cannot be used on carpet, that leaves 4ft of hallway for it to make use of, to hell with that it's going outside to shoot some annoying pigeons
Will post some pictures or video later of how the tank performs during tests... Mine came with two rechargable battries by accident instead of one which is useful.

These tanks are not made by Hen Long. I've been to HL's factory as recently as May & they aren't making anything except their own line of Tigers, erstwhile Panthers & the new Pershing (Snow Leopard) in 1:16 scale in addition to their mini-tanks which are no more than cheap toys. They don't produce OEM for anyone & had nothing else in the pipeline as far as I could tell.

The Leopard 2 is the most powerful tank in the world and can cross rivers better than the Abrams, as for depleted Uranium any modern tank could use such munitions if it wished to make it's own troops sick as well as it's enemy...

I actually bought one of those tanks from Ebay, on a whim (I seem to do that kind of thing quite often.
). The shipping cost was outrageous, but I did not pay attention to that until after I had bid. [&o]
Oh well, I honored my bid and shelled out the dough, but I think FedEx delivered it to the wrong place. [:@] I am a teacher at an elementary school, so I listed that address to ship to, so my wife would not know right away.
The driver's notes on the invoice apparently stated that he left it at the door at 10:00 pm. [:'(] Either the guy 'left it' at the wrong address or else he did not exercise common sense and 'left it' in front of an elementary school, in a poor neighborhood. [
] Either way, I will never see it, so I hope that some impoverished kid is getting to enjoy it at least.
The reason that I jumped on this thread was not to whine, but to find out if most of these tanks use a 7.2v battery like the one in my link:

Thanks!

Hmmm...........no iwaver for me, then.
The tank on Ebay may or may not have as good of quality as the iwaver, but at least it is rechargeable. I hate putting money into AA batteries. [:@]
Rechargeable AAs probably wouldn't last as long or be as powerful as the 7.2v battery will they? The listing indicates run-times of up to one hour, but even if it is half of that, it would still run MUCH longer than my E-Maxx.
It would also recharge in 20 minutes.
I have already bid on another tank....maybe this one will actually arrive.
I don't think I can afford one of the Tamiya tanks. [

actually a freind of mine run's his on rechargables and get's between 30-45 minutes on his. and ya i know about impulse buying that's how i got mine. the only problem with them is you really need to have more than one person running so you can battle. not much fun all by yourself
