Another SNFF. I haven't down much this past week. I prepped the resin casting for my SU100 conversion, but that is about it. I rebuilt a couple of airsoft guns adding the shim inside the plunger, but nothing else. I have been running my tanks a lot, and as a result have not done much modelling.
If you have pictures of what you have been working on and want to contribute to SNFF please do, I have seen a few projects going on this week, and the idea of SNFF is to pool together a couple of pictures of everyones work to make a weekly feature, so others can easily see what is being done wihtout having to search through a whole bunch of threads.
Weekly eye candy to stimulate others onward.
All I did was strap on a Harley to the back of my Walker Bulldog. I weathered the mufflers as well.

I know what you mean, been playing more than making this week. Maybe these pics will convince you to finish your 100.
Broke another T-34 transmission but it's fixable, took a bunch of video, made a cheesy movie, and shot the hell out of stuff, that's my week.

I made a panel to go under the front hatches of my sherman this week.
This is for a battery isolator switch, dmd on/off switch, indicator LED and a charge socket.

Should make things more convenient.I won't have to remove the top to recharge the battery,or unplug it.

This is what I completed this week, I was able to put the Pershing all back together with a new paint job, still need to weather and detail it with decals.

Really great work on the Sherman hatch switches and the Russians look nice. Does someone put out an SU-100 conversion kit w/o having to scratch make everything?
I found a rare Jap tank...Type 4-5-Iv Omi Goshu pics included. If you haven't seen my post, name the components....

Working on my T23 prototype. Just got a T23 turret from Tiff Williams that suits my needs. Progress so far was to mount Pershing elevation and traverse components in the Turret. Tiff engineered it to fit the recoil mount and so far all I had to do was grind away some excess resin to ensure a good fit.

Yes you can buy an SU-100 conversion kit. Includes a resin casting with white metal parts. Pscartozzi has a good thread going on it.
I just got started on my SU 100. Got the resin casting ready and pulled out all the stock electronics. I also removed the nylon clutch gears and replaced them with metal ones.

Tank update: Last week I added more weathering, a Verlinden figure and got around to painting the TBU for my Tamiya Tiger I. I opened the box and started on the Tamiya Panther build by adding gear reduction and a Daryl Turner gearbox mount/brace. The HL Tamiya conversion PZ III got the Mato Metal idlers and drive sprockets, but I will run the plastic tracks for now.

Visit the SCAT site under Projects for 2 different approaches to the Tamiya/HL full option conversion, a DAK PZ III and my gray Kursk PZ III (I did not want to remove to much material from the hull, thus to retain what little strength it arrived with from HL).
The parts sources are also included: http://web.mac.com/ksoc/iWeb/S.C.A.T...0Projects.html
Thanks for asking.

Thanks for the info, when I checked out the tamiya parts to do that it seemed very expensive but that was pricing from the tamiya web store. Do you have a cheaper source or is it a case of taking the big hit? How much do you think the conversion to Tamiya electronics cost ?

That is the classic Tamiya issue, the DMD Units are over priced, at least from my point of view.
The model's construction cost is at:
http://web.mac.com/ksoc/iWeb/Special...zer%20III.html
Other DMD cost effective options:
1. Some have found good deals on Tiger DMD units on ebay.
2. Some long time modelers have bought a new Tiger kit, kept the DMD Units and other rc parts and resold the kit on ebay as a static kit.
3. Plug and play Tamiya infrared PZ III; share your DMD Tiger I or King Tiger Units with your PZIII.
Your PZIII can share the DMD Units and the transmitter with your Tamiya Tiger I or King Tiger, since you can only drive one tank at a time on battle days, why not.
Inside the PZ III, change the turret rotation motor wire leads to a Tamiya DMD connector. Now all you have to do is install the 2 DMDs (buy a second receiver, matching crystal and TBU set), plug in the battery to a Y connector, plug in the turret rotation motor, plug in the TBU and LED Emitter, place the DMD switch and the model is ready to go.
Takes less than a couple of minutes to install and reinstall after you have gone though the initial build (see this web site for build approaches:
http://web.mac.com/ksoc/iWeb/S.C.A.T...0Projects.html ).

does Tiff William have a web site? I notice his T-23 turret has the standard oval loaders hatch, instead of the early WW II round split hatch.
