Default New type VS tanks vs Old type ?

A few questions regarding the .VS tanks, where is the best deal to get them ? Whats the difference between the 07 and pre-07 type, I see the controller is different but does it have better range and is it compatible with the pre-07 types? So far I have found Toyeast has the 06 on sale for $69 and the 07 is $109 +$26 shipping.

Hi it depends what you going for airsoft version? tower hobbies has good pricing on the IR versions...

as for the radio i don't know the 07 one is much easier to use but i think it only turns by using the fast speed so if you are going on 1 or 2 speed and turn it uses 3 speed for turning ...now with the old radio you can turn while moving faward like the 07 but you have to hold down both the turn buttons at one time and lift off one to turn ..pain in the but will take time to get used to but you can drive faward and turn at 2 speeds this way... all in all if it's your first tank maybe the 07 will be better as all options can be done easy like firing rotation of turret and so forth where as with the old version radio it could be a pain in the butt.

I would order from Tower, because of the Customer Service Dept. I found Toy East is very bad returning emails (1 to my 6, and still no answer to solve my problem) Lucky I was able to fix my tank problem

I was very impressed with the quailty of the IR (Abrams and Leopard) tanks, but not the customer service support...maybe just one of those things. I know if I have a product problem, Tower is very quick to help, and will pay return shipping (from Canada) I am not sure about Toy East defective product return shipping policy...who pays?

For sure gto with Tower if ordering a IR version ...but for the other versions you can't get them at tower so toyeast is the only way.

I see no mention of who pays but it seems implied that you pay to ship returns:
http://www.toyeast.com/v3/returnpolicy.asp
I checked tower and there is a $69 IR tank and a $119, with no pic of the controller I am figuring the $119 is the new design ?
