Default BYA Issues

Hi Guys

Recently I bought something from BackYard Armour for the 1st time and am wondering if anyone had issues with them. I made my order on the 10th of Oct 2007 and according to their website, when they ship my item an e-mail will be sent. But I have yet to receive this e-mail statingthat my item has been shipped nor do I get replies from the e-mails I have sent him regarding the order.

Should I wait somemore and hope they send it or do I ask paypal to revert the payment? I would rather not have to resort to that but if you guys think otherwise, I guess I would have to. Thanks

Hello, if you search posts on BYA you will find that they are notorious for not sending emails but the product always arrives.

They have issues with communication but are overall a good supplier.

Hi I wrote a post on BYA a couple of weeks ago. yes they dont sent E-mails most guys will tell you that you will get an e-mail from them after you get your Items, I didnt and I played the E-mail game I sent 6 E-mails and never recived one back. I did get my Items Half of them anyway. I ordered a SturmTiger conversion kit and I got the Hull part That was it. No late road wheel covers no Loading crane or any small detail parts. I E-mailed them about it what good it did I STILL havent heard from them. I will never order From BYA again.... I live in IL and they are based in PA... I ordered from Rctank.De and Axel's both in Germany and I get my stuff in 5 days...!!! BYA took 2 Weeks!!....

It is a love / hate relationship with BYA. They have a great website and a lot of great products on their website. What they don't have is a great record in communication or delivery. Check with PayPal and confirm their policy. Give them a chance, but don't let your rights to challenge expire.

I've ordered from BYA two time - one was great, the other took close to 9 months to ship the last part......

Thanks guys, I guess since my item is not very expensive and its only 1 item I will just bite the bullet and hope I did not waste 30 (forgot to put in shipping cost) bucks. Well this teaches me to not order from them the next time round. Thanks again for teh feedback.

Hi there just a lil update

It has been 3 weeks since I order the parts, even the bearings i order from another company a week afetr I put my order with BYA has arrived and yet to hear from BYA about the status of my order. Although I said I am not reverting my charges and will wait out for my parts to come, I will have to put a warning here to others whom ever want to to order from BYA.

Please order from them at your own risk as they have shown how unreliable they are and I will take all my future businesses with other companies. Thsnks everyone for teh feedback, will update again if the parts ever come or I am out USD30 and put it down as being unlucky.

Yet another update

It has been 1 month and 13 days since I paid for my order from BYA, no parts nor e-mail from him regardingmy stuff I ordered. i now know it was not a very smart idea to order form them to begin witha nd should have listened to my gut instincts. Anyway this will serve as a warningto others whom are thinking of ordering from BYA, please think 3 times before doing so as even for a USD30 part (plus shipping) they take so long to get back to (if they ever that is) so order atyour own risk.

Should I demand for a refund now or should I just demand them to ship my part (either way they do not respond to e-mails)

IF you paid with pay-pal I would make that claim VERY quickly you have 45 days from payment sent to make it. IF you have paid with some other form such as Credit card you can have the Credit card company Withdraw the funds... Say you never made that payment and they will look in it.
I have done this before on other non tank related sites... AT least it wasn't a 190.00 Kit like I ordered, I got my kit 2 weeks from ordering and it was Missing parts and destroyed!!!!! I sent an E-mail to the company who made the kit and there Playing E-mail Tag with him.

I hope it works out for you... By the way I forget who it was but someone on the forum mentioned it took 9 months for there parts to come in. That is to long to wait!!

... that would be me....

Go to PayPal or your credit card to get a refund. Asking would not do any good, seeing at they have not responded to you previous e-mails. My mistake was I waited too long (PayPal) so I had no choice but to speak up on the forums, e-mail BYA, and pray.

Agree, cancel the order now. But, I did order from BYU last week and received my parts in 4 days. John
