Ohhh, yep I knew about that..thought you saw something in my posts and werre replying to me...sorry. Sev, one question. My Pershing does not shut down form the TX. If I turn off tx, the main gun fires lol. I have to shut the tank switch off to shut her down.

Okay, I was able to run all functions without a receiver battery. I am seriously thinking of removing the metal tray the electronics sit on,as my receiver is pressed tight up against the hull top.
But, at least i have room to fiddle around.
Next up is painting the inside surfaces of the track bloks Flat Black,to simulate the rubber inner surface. Also, the end connectors and the center guides will get a basic coat of rust.

On my Pershing build I did not use that 'metal tray', and I cut the speaker box down so the battery could slide back giving some room for the wiring and connectors. All Tamiya connectors were eliminated, splicing the DMD/MFU leads to one battery connection ... using a single Deans connector. And, on all my Tamiya tank builds I hard wire the motors in, so there's less connectors in the way.
Soldering is so much more fun!

"I too want the Sherman. Is there any way to make the recoil correct on it?"
Yes, but it is a bit involved.

Jeff, that crossed my mind. That soldering would cut down the excess wire in that area, My futuba receiver is a bit larger than they may have planned for this vehicle,so I see removing that tray as a quick fix, which is replaceable,if I need it.
More pictures when I get everything painted and weathered.
it is fun to have this as a runner, but for the Chicopee MA show, I will have it as a model for judging...

I wanted to continue to post pics of the progress here. I just recieved the Kenny Kong T-81 tracks for Fireball today. I test fitted them and gave her a run...everything worked out fine. I then pulled one side off to begin painting them and though it might be cool to see one side painted and the other unpainted...so here are the pics...As usual, they are not the best...but you get the idea...

They are Kenny Kong's metal T-81's. They actually came pre-assembled and I bought some extras just in case. He gave me more than enough though. I had to take 5 links out of each set to install them correctly. Very good quality, IMO. I only have experience with the HL metal tracks and these are by far, superior in every way!

By addin a spacer strip inside the sand sheilds, you may gain additional spacing. However, the attaching screws may be too short. You could glue a piece of styrene over the original hull mounts, and tap into that as a "new" mounting point.

I was thinking about that too Carl but the concern is then losing the correct lines at the front and rear mating surface...I am going to test a few things and see what looks best. Thanks for the idea though...
For now I am working on the hangers for the extra track links

Methinks we've created a monster here! Such work from someone who just a very few months ago was a newbie....track racks are very well done! Nice work, Joseph! I am impressed.
I'll have the Kenny Kong tracks in stock shortly on the etoarmour sight, they are in transit as we speak. Can't wait for that little deal to come to fruition.

Next ones I buy from you Sev. Thanks for the kind words. Your JT is an inspiration to better myself brother. As you've told me, if someone doesn't make the parts, we have to make them ourselves. The pins would be correct to hold them in place?
And Rebellion....I'm sorry lolol. I'm going to bed...
