I wanted to check to see if anyone had any information on typical camo colour/patterns used on this unit's Stug III's.
Not including the usual winter whitewash treatment.
There's one in the centre right on this link but I am not skilled in intrepreting colours on old B&W photographs;

It is very difficult to exactly try too determine colors on B&W photos. historians have been trying for years and still found it difficult due to so many factors involved. The best advise is to keep doing as much research as you can on this particular unit , especially in it's formation period. That will give you the most accurate info.

What year are you trying to replicate as this could have a bearing on what you are looking for, also you have to be aware that once crews started camouflaging their tanks this was down to individual unit then to individual tank crews so no two tanks in a company were the same, I have seen a picture of a large number of vehicles on parade all painted with a bush type pattern, before I had seen this picture I would have said that it wouldn’t have happened now to a degree I believe that almost anything could have happened.

I agree with the comments on the B&Wphotos.
I think it may just come down to getting a feel for what was typicalcommon for the time and location and make best effort to interpret it, sort of along the lines of.......

OK, early mid 43 tanks were typically painted grey to begin with then yellow patches of camouflage were used sometimes with green latter the order was given to paint tanks yellow with green and brown camo sometimes this order was not followed to the letter so some units were still grey with yellow and sometimes plus green camo sometimes they were just yellow or had either green or just brown camo sometimes they had the full 3 colour yellow, green and brown pattern it all depended on what paint was available and the unit so it’s still very complicated during this time period.

Thanks
One of the Panzer Colors volumes (its upstairs and I don't want to go get it to confirm if it was I, II or III
) indicated that yellow with green was common in that time.
But then I have read those publications have been questioned; sure is an interesting situation, but a challenge to sort out.

Just had a quick flick through a few books on Operation Citadel, it would appear the most tanks were yellow with green camo then yellow with green and brown camo then finally just yellow

Thanks, that is an interesting bit of info for me.
I did find something about Stug Brigade 210 coloursfrom;
"Ëast Front Armor Camoflage and Markings"by Steven J. Zaloga and Jamse Grandsen, Squadron/Signal 1983. page 12
A Stug IIIG of Stug Brigade 210, known as the Tigerkopf Brigade"because of the unit's distinctive brigade insignia, which is evident here. The brigade was heavily involved in the fighting in the Caucusus. and this view from 1943 shows the assualt gun in the new 1943 scheme of dark yellow with oive green overspray.
