stuss any video of the truck with the lrp in it?
My cam isnt suitable.
I ran the lrp again 2day. Had some plug issues and leaning issues, was way 2 hot with spit test. The lrp is a 2nd hand mill i got as part of a parts HF. It has some compression left but is probably had alot of gals thru it. Iam going to seal the carb again and then keep running it very hard on the occassions iam not running the os28.

I had the same problem when I installed the LRP in my ST-1. You just need to shim the engine mounts up a little with some washers.
The stock engine, K4.6 has a smaller pull start assembly so it doesnt hit the chassis.

Im going to say no. The savage has either a 2 speed or a 3 speed tranny depending on the model. The hellfire might beat it off the line but once the savage gets moving and starts shifting it should pull away. There is really only one way to find out though

k20, if the front wheels are pulling more then the rear you need to change, or add, your diff fluid. 7/10/3 is a pretty good starting point, but you will have to make adjustments depending on how you drive and what you usually drive on. If the front wheels still pull too much with 10 then try 30 and so on till you find the right weight for your driving style.

Well I did the upgrade, and wow what a difference in the high speed!! I do have to say I did beat the savage in a drag race. You were right I do jump off the line, and the Savage catches up. We are neck and neck though. If that front end goes up I am right by it.

Question: Can anyone recomend a pair of street tires for the hellfire, and any possible websites I can get them from. Good lookin out Playas!!

Sounds like the header gasket might be leaking. You shouldnt have that much oil back there. Check the spring too. Maybe the header isnt sitting flush.
Try proline, They have some street tires but they might be too wide. I cant seem to find a truggy size set myself.
Did you get any videos racing the savage?

Increase the thickness of the centre diff oil. This gives better all wheel drive. Thinner centre diff oil helps the front wheels unload more.
I use to use 5/7/2 but have now changed to 7/20/5. Gunna try 100 centre (if i can find it here) to really bring the torque out (bashing only).

Just got back from doing some speed runs with my HF running an os28, 17 tooth CB,52 tooth spur. Best run was 86km/hr (54miles/hr). Not bad and good fun! I have a drag modded picco 28 on the way to try soon.
Ive had my HF for over 2 years now, of course the usual HF problems, but the last 6 months she rarely brakes even after wicked crashes.

I know a lot of guys change the savage diffs to the cen's so it might be possible to use those on the hellfire. I think HB might have better diffs too.
Is anyone running a different pipe on the 4.6HO then the stock? I have an HPI polished pipe I was thinking about putting on but I wasnt sure if it would make a difference in performance or not.

other than shimming you dont have to do any mods as even the cen diff cups fit the hellfire dogbones then you just use the hellfire cup on the pinion

still you need to run small cb as the cen diffs have a higher gear ratio
