hey guys i have the mayhem st as well and i love it.all i have done is drive around in a grassy pasture kind of setting and it loves to haul butt around it.i dont quite have half a gallon through it and it is still strong.i haven't played with it much but i want more speed and after getting used to it's handling characteristics i think i am ready for the bigger restrictor.i need input on what adjustments i will need after the larger restrictor has been put in ie low speed, high speed or idle.i run it at about 220-230 degrees with an infrared temp sensor.now also what clutch or spur gear changes should i make to acquire more speed. i have heard some peole say theirs will wheelie off the start.mine doesnt.what can i do as far as spur/cluth gear changes? thanks guys and keep enjoying this fine truck we have.ps i did install the sportwerks 5mm shock towers and they do look awesome .

I love mine too. Wish I had got the one with the Spektrum radio but I found a DX3 on ebay. I have only broke an A-Arm or two and bent the rear shock tower but that was cause I flipped it on pavement with the body off. Adapting a wing is easy. I useD the Mugen kit with and HPI wing. That will help protect the truck, fly in the air, downforce and stability. It's faster than my Revo I swear. And no other trucks pass me on the straights. The motor is real good (based on the Mach 26).

Here's the upgrades for the Mayhem ST. (Horizon Hobby dot com)
SWK9158 - TORQUE ROD STIFFENERS (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SO THE CHASSIS DOESN'T TWIST UP)
SWK9291 - ALUM FR UPPER ARMS
SWK9290 - ALUM FR LOWER ARMS
SWK9284 - ALUM RR ARMS
SWK9154 - ALUM RR HUBS
SWK9006 - TI NITRIDE SHOCK SHAFTS (ANOTHER EXCELLENT UPGRADE)
SWK9010 - RUBBER SHOCK BOOTS
SWK9098 - ALUM DIFF HOUSINGS, FR & RR (FO SHO GET THESE)
SWK9097 - ALUM CENTER DIFF HOUSING (THIS TOO)
SWK3186 - WING MOUNT ASSEMBLY
SWK3188 - WHITE WING
SWK9200 - POLISHED 053 INLINE EXHUAST
SWK9163 - 5MM RR SHOCK TOWER (NOT 100% THIS FITS THE ST, SHOULD BE EXACTLY THE SAME AS FOR THE 1/8 BUGGY. AS ARE THE RR SHOCKS, RR ARMS, ETC.)

I run mine with 40 series pro wheels with the CrimeFighter MT's (BowTies are good also). The stock wheels are offset but if you get the non offset wheels it will turn and track better.
I use the mayhem buggy wing mount on my ST, but its to close to the body. This one lookes good, which one is it ?

They should make a Turmoil ST with the shorty wheel base like the Mayhem ST and offer an extended chassis as an option IMO. The short wheel base makes this thing sweet for bashing. Racing on the other had is another story.

Does the MST come with a glow ignitor?

Mine did. I bought the one with the DX2 system(blue one). It didn't say anywhere that it came with a glow igniter, in fact it said that was one of the things needed. When I opened the box there was a c-cell igniter with it. The packing foam even had a preformed spot for it.

I was thinking of getting the one with the XR2i and it says that it requires a glow ignitor, but I was on Ebay and someone is selling a glow ignitor saying they took it from a brand new ST. So I was just wondering if it came with one or did I need to buy one seperate.

This is the one I bought. I just noticed on the box it does list the igniter. I think it only comes with the DX2 system.

Now that you mention it, when I got my MST DX2 combo, it came with a C size alkaline glow ignitor...... I don't use it cause it sucks but if it's all you have thenit will work

An 'C cell' alkaline glow starter (valued at 5 bucks) is included with the Spektrum-equipped model. Alkaline glow starters are excellent backups.

I have a problem with my MST. After a good run when I turn it off and try to restart it, it takes ages to restart. I can see the fuel being sucked towards the carb but as soon as it reaches the carb it just shoots right back towards the tank again. Why is that. Becuase it drains my rotostart's batt's and the whole day is done for. Please help.... [&o]

Losen the glowplug, prime fuel again. start engine and tighten the glowplug again. Opening the carb a bit while priming may also help.

Hot big blocks are funky. Advance the throttle using the trim control. As much as 20-40% is necessary to fire a hot big block. The truck will not run away --- revs will build and you can trim it back.

If fuel runs away, advance thorttle trim 33%, engage the starter, give a blip while covering the stinger, quickly attach glow charger and fire it up. If it doesn't fire, keep charger attached, give it a quick priming burst while covering stinger and crank to start.

Argh......!!!!!! dont bother about the fuel problem man. This morning went out in the park and hit one of them doggy-doo-doo-disposal-bins.
Totaled the left front suspention completely lower-, upper arms, drive shaft, ackerman steering rack, fuel tank, two tires came off the wheels half way and bent the shock shaft. No worries though all has been replaced and the car is ready to go eccept for one of the pins that fit through the hexxes..... HE HE HE I guess that is just one of those things that happens [:@]
