sure its ok, i just add a little more oil to the fuel , the race fuel uses less oil because racers get faster speeds out of the motor for example less drag on the piston quicker rotation, with a higher oil content it needs more time to compress and turn the piston and it will have more drag but it will most likely give your engine more lubrication.

Keith, I got suckered into the ofna box with 550s too! Seriously, with the 2x8.4v batteries it works great. The batteries are only $35 ($45 w/ smart charger). I got mine from ebay (with answers Mr. Slave's question)

lol i got suckerd into the twin 740's , biggest pos i ever spent for 100 bucks, i would of traded you for it. but yea the 12v isint powerfull enough you need atleast 16v to even turn over the motor more than 5 seconds.

Is there a big advantage of either TT special smaller wing or a standard 1/8 extended wing? Why should I spend the extra money to use the 1/8, is it worth it?

It is nice and flexible yet holds its shape well. The TT truggy wings are cheaper then the other 1/8th scale wings. You need ONLY 1/8th scale truggy or buggy wings.

Truggy wings IMO look best buggy wings are to big.

To mount the TTR one I dont need any kits right? I just ordered the RTR kit, does it come with the stock wing kit? I was reading something about having to buy more body posts?

Sorry for sounding like a moron, I just want to be sure I buy what I need and nothing else. So my 2 options are: Buy the extended wing kit and a 1/8 truggy wing or just buy the $9 Thunder Tiger Wing and mount it to the stock kit that came with my RTR?

pick any wing you like just needs to be 1/8th and for a buggy or truggy. If you don't have the extended mount then you can't run a body.

Just doing the steering mod now. With the longer 25mm screws the bolt rubs on the plastic attached to the chassis - is this normal? I remember you guys saying that you didn't need to chop or sand down anything. My new dremel arrived at the same time as the 25mm screws so I ended up just filing down the ends of the screws a little and smoothing out the plastic where the a-arm connects. Anyone else run into this issue?

if you don't have the extended wing mount you can still use a wing, and yes, the body will still fit. i should have pics of mine in my gallery or my my models thing. if you dont get the extended wing mount, you get two more body posts and attach them to the rear shock tower and use the wing mount that's already on there for the wing.

I was just a little confused because at Amain in the wing mount description it says you need to buy both the regular wing mount AND the extended wing mount for it to work. But alas, this wasnt the case for the RTR that already has the regular wing kit parts.

Maybe, maybe not. Your better off just taking the servo to a hobby shop and ask them for a servo horn to fit it on the spot
