RE: Possible wet servos
I guess I`ll just take a chance I really wanna run this thing. What if I run it then get a blow dryer on it asap.
Edit: I know this isn`t a high end truck. Wish me luck

RE: Possible wet servos
You shouldn't get servos (or any other electric equiptment) wet!!!! That video was done by an individual whom either isn't very bright or just doesn't regard the well being of their vehicle.
Anytime you have to take evasive action to prevent something from ruining, you shouldn't be doing it!! Trust me, I feel your predicament. I just bought a new truggy last weekend and there's been nothing but rain here every day since. I really wanna get her going, but it's not worth having to replace a bunch of stuff just for a few minutes of fun. Our rain will quit and your snow will melt soon enough. Until then, just keep admiring that thing in that nice, new factory look. They won't be that way for long!!

After running in the snow use a air compersor to get all water off the car. I killed my servo just letting it drip dry in my basement.

Edit btw I stayed on the road where it`s nice and beat down I agree with the others if you were in deep snow you`d ruin your servos.

icy roads are terrible for driving i was trying to get speed to jump a snow bank it was so hard to keep it straight and keep up speed. It was like when I took my atv on t he ice rink those donuts are super tight and crazy fast.

RE: Possible wet servos
It was so much fun I plan on doing it all winter long and risk the chance of replacing servos. I`ll just get fuel delivered to me in 45 gallon drums lol. I never relized these things are so fast and fun. Even when spinning it was crazy fast. Question....how far can you lead your truck with a 2.4ghz radio, my original radio died so I had to swap the receiver and radio.
Edit: and the receiver was dead before I ran it in the snow

RE: Possible wet servos
Well I did another run with no damage to the servos.......but slamming sideways into a hard piece of snow cracked my body apparently cold plastic cracks easy hahaha[&o] but I did the red green thing and duct taped it lol. Btw what is the best 2.4ghz or 72 mhz. And I still don`t know how far I can let my truck go and if it gets out of range will it keep going full throttle or does it idle down when out of range. I don`t need to explain to my neighbor why my truck slammed into thier garage door so any input would be great.

To prevent your car run full throttle you can install to your car fail safe that if it lost signal with your control it will take breaks automatically.
Average control distance is 100m

RE: Possible wet servos
Spektrum is not the best. I get glitches and lose signal only 100 feet or 200 ft of range. my am does better than that. It will cost me money to ship and wait 3 weeks or more to get it back and be charged money cause of no warranty. I have been holding off from doing it for a year or more. idk if it is worth it now.
ohh i have a dx3 and dx2
