RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
ok tower has the ss kits in stock again. I need to make up my mind with what servos to go with, any suggestions?
help! |
RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
I was running the Hitecs, 5955 for steering and 5996 for throttle/brake. They worked well until the weather killed them. To be honest, you don't need the strongest servo for th/br. Use something with at least 150 oz/in and .12 sec response.
|
RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
the 5996 is rated for 111@6 and .1 but the 5997 is rated 181@6 and .14 .
with this said are you buying 2 new hitecs? are you buying a 5996 or a 5997? |
RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
Nope, KO Propo PDS-2368 and 2367. The 5996 worked well though, it never felt like it was straining to stop the truck.

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
Hey guys, i'm having a problem with my rear shocks, i fill both of them with oil and then assemble them back, when I push them up and down the shock oil keeps coming out little by little each time I push them up and down, I think i've assembled them right, any suggestions? how do I purge the shocks? Thanks.
EDIT: I'm using the RTR version of the hellfire but i'm using the HPI purple aluminum shock caps, i've noticed that in the purple ones there is a small very small hole in them (thats how they originally came) and the stock plastic ones are totally solid, is that normal or are the aluminum ones should also be all solid? I've had this aluminum caps for a couple of months and didnt had problems before. |
RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
Does the shock caps have the bladders installer?
|

Hey guys I'm planning to do a BL conversion on the SS kit, how does the Hellfire hold up? On another forum I heard about durability issues.

i've been racing the hellfire for 5 months now and to be honest, I havn't broke a single thing, I've snapped twice the front knuckles but thats about it. I think it's a great racer.

I took the plung and ordered my hellfire ss from www.towerhobbies.com. Can't wait to build it and begin raceing! Man my two savages are gonna be jealous of all the attention the hellfire ss is gonna get. I wonder how a sts d30m will run in it? |
