I think this Dragon figure looks ok. I was encourged to install a sliding canopy considering the work already completed. Were almost there. I need to make the cockpit now! The sliding part was hard for me to figure. I wanted to be able to remove the canopy if needed. It's not beautiful but it works well and is strong.

Anyone Else, with some thoughts on a 12" Dragon or Blu Box Pilot Figures fitting in this FW 190 by Top Flite?

I have used them before in the 50 cc topflite birds before nothing wrong with that. They fit fine. I still have a Eric Hartman and an north africa german pilot from dragon in my stock.. you got to remember the cockpits were a bit cramped in these german birds.

Two cross pieces, four "t" pieces for feet and the end caps . It's 1 inch PVC. The pabbing is some sort of pipe insulation. Lowes. If you like this one. I'll shoot you a piucture of my airplane stand..

Best Pilots TRUE 1/5 scale"Gunther" is going to fit in this bird just fine! He should be "flight trained" and ready to ship in two weeks.
Thanks Dennis Johnson, for lending me your fuse to ensure this pilot will fit perfectly.

All right Ramstein44! Let me know. I hope to start producing them in two weeks. I'm sculpting in the fur collar this afternoon. I think this adds new meaning to "making fur fly"!

So, I go by my local dealer today and he puts in a order for the plane and retracts for me as a Christmas present from my family and gives us a great deal, now the fun starts. Tower shows the plane in stock but Great Planes back orders it along with the Robart retracts. Guess I'm not getting a Christmas present again this year last year it was the E-flite F-4's that we never got hope GPA has their stuff back in stock before I get bored waiting. Maybe I should have gotten the P-47 from Hanger Nine but wait they were the people who lied to me all of last winter. Seams like we can't win trying to spend money.lol.

Will do Fly4Real..It'll be after the holidays.

A little more progress. I seem to focus better in the evenings and spending the day mental engineering. It's hinged so that when the canopy moved, it slides up or down with it. The real FW190 did this...but better..

I'll fill the gaps and so on and glass it tomarrow.

Where are the rest of the 190's at??[]

What are you guys doing for wheels? I am using the robart gear, prefer the sierra's, but don't want to cut into the wing to make the mod.
