Bob I haven't really dropped it in to check, but either way I really don't care if the muffler fits inside we have a noise limit at our field and I know for sure the stock muffler passes. I did also just get the new dual outlet zenoah muffler as well to use.

Ron, thank you. I already have an FW190. It's the Sis-T A8, Built and painted etc. Nearly ready to fly (has been for a while). It just a matter now of.. courage!.. putting all those $ up in the air all at once! LOL.
The TF one might be a nice fun plane, ya know.

Ram; Are you using a real Cooling Fan? If so, which one did you get, I plan on using the DLE55RA in my 190, how well did the fan fit on the this engine, I have read some reference to poor welds on the Stock Muffler, possible to elborate on where the welds need to be improved?

It is a true functional fan. I purchased it from Fighteraces.co.uk It fits perfectly to the shaft of the engine.

Thanks for the pics. As much as I would like to put a DLE 60 twin in this I can't justify the extra money and holes in the cowl just to avoid a little extra weight up front.

Doesn't make any sense to me to put a Twin that doesnt entirely fit in the cowl. If you want a 60 then put a DA 60 in it. At least the plug will be on the bottom..

The larger you go, the more they cost..This one in comparison to many others of the same class, considering effort and time to build one, is cheap. I have kits that cost this much!

Actually the DLE 60 twin looks like it fits pretty well. Not only that, you get the smooth running of the twin.

I guess if you're used to flying lower end planes these do look a bit expensive. When you're ready to step up, this would be a good start for you.

Tower Hobbies just reduced the price on the Top-Flite giant scale FW-190 to $650.00. Great buy if you are interested in a great model. Do not know how long this price will last.

The 60 twin does fit it the cowl completely, if you know what you are doing...

Who cares??? At the end of the day , it is STILL just an arf. Like a brand new yellow Vette. When you go to bed at night, it's STILL yellow.

Just like a Sis-t arf.

And you can NEVER get your investment out of them.

For example, here is an Aerotech Ki-84 Frank I just picked up, RTF for $1000.00

How much do you think he has into this arf?

He has alot more planes like that, for the same price...
