My wife, instead of buying another TF190, got the Sierra retracts ordered for it instead..

I like the way you think! Pain getting that eagle off the cowl huh? This is my first warbird, a lot more fun to fly than I thought. My buddy and I are "trying" to fly formation, good times.

Just throwing this out there I have completed my TF gs fw190 and was amazed by the weight needed for balance has anyone else finished and can let me know how much weight they added. For the record I added 2 lbs. 4 oz.

2lbs 4 oz? That's nothing. Most spitfires in this size range require 4 pounds or more.

Sorry but this is not related to this thread. I only post since it is a spectacular crash from yesterday. The idiot heli pilot took out my World Models Zero! He was flying his tiny little 450 near the runway and not in pattern as he was supposed to. I only hope my new FW190 will not suffer the same fate! I really miss my Zero! Even my engine was destroyed! I think maybe my receiver survived!

Really unfortunate.. We've had a lot of issues with those flying lawnmowers at our field too but I think after you made him wet his pants when you approached him, I doubt he'll give you anymore issues... Lessons are always expensive!

Pettit I was not including plates either. I'm wondering what your build was now. I'm running the dle55, ignition is on the motor box , battery is on the firewall, I also went with the air Robert system and a Xoar wood prop. Thanks to all for feedback.

The only difference is my 190 has 3 batteries, 2 five cell 2200 maH for receiver and ignition and another 6 cell for the electric retracts.

All are mounted as close to the firewall as possible, but they're behinf it.

Sharam, did you or the heli pilot have a spotter? I would shoot the spotters...

That's wana of the hardest thing to find is a spotter that doesn't get caught up just watching your flight instead of the air your going to be occupying  lol.

Thanks for the kind words of support guys!

I had spotters but no one even saw the tiny Heli get in the way!

A tiny Heli like that practically disappears at 50 ft. My Zero was probably going 80+ mph.
