thanks for the nice comments fellas hrrcflyer I had to add 2lbs 11ozs to get the recommended CG...the roto is heavier but I put my air tanks aft of the cockpit and my pilot weighs about 1 pound. I think it will still fly ok since it has such a thick wing

Hey N8,

Thanks for the info. I don't think you need to sweat the maiden on this plane. My friend did the maiden on his stripped and painted Butcher Bird the weekend before last. He has a 3W55CS in his that he took out of his T/F Jug after a mishap late last year. My friend is also using a 3 blade C/F prop and even with the extra blade, my friend says the Butcher Bird is noticably quicker than the Jug was with a two blade prop, but it flies just as well and I can attest to that. That Butcher Bird really HAULS A____ and it is rock steady in the air.

Good luck with your maiden. I cannot wait to see some pics of it flying..............

Hey Ram, I also cannot wait to see some paint on yours..............

Take care Guys,
David

Good looking scheme N8. Did a good job hiding those cylinders as well.

Ram.

Looking forward to see what you come up with!

We finally had a few straight days of good weather but that's about to change with more possible snow in route. Here's my progress. The two tone colors of RLM 81 & RML 82, are hard to see here. Obviously, I still need to do the horizontal stab. I'll assemble it and do the wings at the same time... I know, strange..lol

It does fly great , I added a little more nose weight , felt slightly tail heavy , and I had a few clicks of down trim , Hope the next flying session isn't so windy

Emart You can easily start with a 22x10 on that engine And go to a 22x12 after brake in

Anyone else have issue with the wheel well liners interfering with retract travel?
