Thanks for the kind words Francis. Iīm not sure if this Spitfire is nice looking model But I do my best to it would be.

What engine will you put in your ESM FW-190? I have ESM Dauntless (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STO4-ps72Tk) and with JC EVO 28 is the takeoff weight 7715 g. In the video you see the one half throttle takeoff. 6000- 7000 g is the average weight of ESM warbirds. I donīt like the over power warbirds, so if I would have another 70" (1800 mm) warbirds I would use some smaller engine (20- 25 ccm).

Hi Perk

I am planning to install RCGF30 Twin.
https://www.rcgfusa.com/rcgf-30cc-twins

But i am really go through hell with this model, i have been building models for the past 20 years
and this ESM is getting on my nerves, why have they not sorted out all the issues the old AMD used to have.

Your FW190 will be good butcher with the RCGF 30 twin.

Sorry for my english, but I donīt understand the last sentence "why have they not sorted out all the issues the old AMD used to have"
Exactly the part: ...
the old AMD...

Very well done! I'm by no means a builder (barely a flyer) but I do appreciate your craft. Picked up a HK Macchi MC205 (30cc) and bought the metal retracts for safety since they can handle a bird much heavier and I'm tired of gear crapping out on me. Same as you, bought struts most likely too long but I have friends in low places that can work magic.

Guys, to add to the engine discussion. Have MANY ESM birds and overall I use DLE-30/35 for the ones around 70" and DLE-55/RA for anything at or above 80". Keep your carb screen clean!

Thanks Plano, I hope, the decision about the plastic retract was right. I see, many guys who use some 50-60 cc engines in their ESM 80". A lot of power is good during any critical situations and I see the biggest positiv in a big prop- it looks better on display.
But know, that ROTO 35 is engouh for ESM La-7 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E11DCuiT5w) and she flies great with this engine. This is the reason why I want this 35 cc engin in my BT 83" Spitifre.
I fly biblane (1550 mm wingspan) Eagle Renegade. At the first time I flew it with Roto 25, after them I set the RCGF 35. Month ago I bought a ROTO 25 again.
My rule is 30-40 cc in 80" and 20-26 cc in 70". But what engines in Jerry Bates 106" B-26? 2xDLE 20 or 2x ROTO 25?

Compared a BT 83" Spitfire plan with this Seagull 80". Found out, that the nose is 60 mm (2.36 inch) longer that it should be. Probably it because of low weight engine which is recomended to this ARF kit. Why I did it? Because of fitting my BT cowl to Seagull. I will cut of the nose and put the elevator servos into the fuselage. The nose will be 30mm (1.18 inch) shorter. After them will the cowl perfect fit.

Just covered the flaps. I add one shot of the spinner on the cowl. Probably I can use this one.
In my Spitfire I will have DLE 30 with Pitts muffler. It not very wide. Not wider than the firewall- perfect.

Well what i was trying to say is that the ESM FW190 is a Remake over of the AMD Models FW190.

They have just changed the wing and the tail plane the rest is all from AMD.

And sorry for interrupting your thread with mine,
As i said before you are doing a great job with your model can't wait to see her flying will follow your thread too.

Thanks for your comments to.

Did you manufacture the cowl or you bought it?

Donīt worry Francis about the interrupting. Iīm also interested in FW-190 but 1/5 scale, but every time I follow the ESM threads.

The cowl is my work as same as a chin scoop and exhaust pipes, look at the my webistes: www.jpwarbirds.wbs.cz I made them in English.

If anybody like the spinner I will list it during next few days. It is a fibreglass spinner with aluminium backplate. Colour white, precut for 2-blades or 3-blades prop. Diameter 115mm (4.5").

If my Cessna would be here for this week i could check the measurements and if it fits would not mind buying it from you as it's the same color of the model.
Hopefully she should be here by this cumming week.

What Cessna are you awaiting Francis?

Three more struts added to each flap. Thatīs not really but six struts are better then only three.

I tried to find it but without any success. Did you try to contact Seagull? http://seagullmodels.com/info/contact-us-1469.html

I only know, that the covering is bright with matt varnish (clear paint).

Have a question for you if you don't mind, I have placed the wing and the tail plane elevator on my FW190,
and when i looked at it from the back to check the alignment of the vertical and lateral, the model is all out of sink.
The fiberglass fuselage is all twisted.
How could i fix this?

I am going to send pictures to ESM and let's see what they say about this, I don't think the model will fly correctly with a tail / rudder twisted to the left.

Any help or ideas would be great.
Thanks.
