Quote: Simple break in. Beat it with a 10 lb sledge until it''s in little pieces. Break in complete.
does the above relate to marriage per chance?

Nothing Special. I have all the servos in and have them moving in the right direction. Hook up the throttle next.
I'm waiting a n a new G-Pete plane Balancer. Should have everything stuffed by the week end. Maybe even fire up the engine. I'm starting to get the fever again.
I figured Bob T. needed a picture fix.

Old Tom not only built this plane in probably record time. He put together three other ARF`s has been flying. Went on a vacation and rides his Harley. The P-47 is awesome I have seen it up close.

I don't think I built this fast. If you want to see some one who is fast and good. Look at G-Pete. I think he built his in 8 mos. mine has been a Year and a half.
Bob. Thats 8 arfs if you count the foamy. 2 of them twice.[sm=lol.gif] Yes, I'm broke.[sm=omg_smile.gif]

The only problem with ARF's is they build too fast and easy. You end up wanting one of everything and the next thing you know your broke.....

Got a little more done. The firewall is painted Zinc Chromate and the optical kill and the home made push push switch in the fuse is hooked up.
I soldered the wires on the push push switch, Didn't want the connections vibrating loose. I put the indicator light under the cowl where it's shaded and I can see it.
Works slick as a whistle.

Made a new tork plate for the Pits muffler today and finished working on the muffler itself.

The paint dried faster then I thought it would so I took some pictures for the engine thread. Knowing how Bob gets, I thought I better post them here also.
By the looks of thing I may get the engine fired up this weekend.

I did a little preliminary balancing. Without the led the plane was 29lb. 7oz. With led to balance it it came in at 32lb.6oz. I'm going to do some modification to lessen the all up wight, I just don't know what yet. This is just a rough weight. I used the top of the fuse on the nose for a leveling datum point. This could be wrong. Will see when I get the G-Pete Balancer.

Tom I've heard that they fly fine at that weight. Mine is at 23lbs minus the fuel tank switches and most of the flight gear. But that is with the servos in. Opps no pilot either, he's a good 8 or so ozs. I am guessing 28 to 30 when all done though.
Looks really nice and I can't weight for a video.
