RE: TF GS P47 Build - yeah another bloody one!!
Thanks Guys for the reassurance.
I was wanting to come in under 30lb. so I didn't meet my goal. I learned a few lessons about how much paint weighs. If I didn't have all that time in detailing I would sand all the paint off and start over. But this is what I have and this is what it will be.
I saw somewhere maybe in the corsair thread where someone moved the batteries under the cowl. I'll see what I can do. But the straw guides for the mounting screws is going to interfere with what I can do.
Just another thing to figure out.
No one said it was going to be easy.

Since I can't finish the plane before Joe Nall, I decided to take it with me as a display plane. If nothing else, will make a great conversation piece.
Domestic things got in the way of working on the plane for the last 2 days. I did get some time this evening to make a carrier for the plane. It also makes a great stand for putting the wing on.

Hope you still have your camera. It's hard to keep Bob happy with pictures by myself.[sm=lol.gif]

Hi Pete,
Good to hear you are back into things. Look forward to catching up around the traps.
I have had a pretty quite spell of modelling myself, have not touched the big P-47 for months. Had my first fly in 6 months at Tin Can bay warbirds meet on Saturday. Flew my Hurricane, had 2 good flights, but boy was I rusty!!!
Cheers
Mick

It was way too bumpy and I was too rusty for any really low passes this year.

Toowong is where you really live? Remembering the Old Pete that may not have been the correct answer.
Already know about Tin Can Bay.

I just googled Brisvagas when it was posted. Wikpedia even gives the history of the name. I was surprised it was not that long ago that the name was first used. About the only thing close to Oz up here is going on walkabouts when you spend too much time in the pub. Straight lines are out of the question. That and there seems to be more and more people up here working in the mining business from down under.
