Between the Wife and I we came up with a wing protector. It's kind of like a wing bag but not as strong.
We took a bed spread and some well intended cuts with a scissor and and some stitches with the sowing machine. We had a wing protector. Now I can transport it and not worry about scratching it up to easily. I already have a few hanger rashes that I don't want to talk about[:@]

Hi Old Tom,

Your Jug is starting to look great.

I am thinking of doing a Jug from the 5th Emergency Squadron like yours. In doing some research on this squadron I came across the following that I thought you might be interested in...............

http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/galle...ist&Group=5ers

It has some good photos of aircraft from this squadron.

Cheers

Mick

Thanks Mick

Saw 3 out of the 4 of the Tony in my research.
I have the info saved. Good luck with yours and let us know which scheme you decide on.

Hi Old Tom
The wing bag looks good. I would say Debbie was a lot of help. Hope you have good weather next week. Don`t look like we will.

Old Tom

I am looking at being down at the Joe Nall either Weds. or Thurs. if everything works out. Like Bob said, looks like Monday will be the only decent day next week. Good luck on the trip and have a good time.

Try to make it Wednesday if you can. I'm heading home sometime on Thursday. I probably won't set up any planes on Thursday.

You guys seemed to have missed me. Not much going on in my absence.

got home last night from Joe Nall. My time there was to short. The 47 was a great hit with some that managed to come to the end of the runway where we managed to find a spot. All kinds of planes showed up and was a great experience. I'm definitely going back next year and I will stay all week. 3 days is not enough.
Here are a couple of picks.

I was at the Joe Nall on Sunday and seen lots of p47's that looked really nice. What's so bad is that I live 45 miles away ,and it's my 1st. Really nice landing area and all looked so well setup. Here is a few pictures I took.

I saw all those fly. On Wednesday during the Demos. There was giant B29, around the size of the B36 in your picture, doing a Smoke on Hover, Inverted loops. Well, you get the picture. I was so exited watching it fly that I forgot to take a picture.

Got my G-Pete Balancer the other day. It only took about 5 minutes to put together.I have a couple of projects to finish first then I will balance the 47 and get it ready to fly. The balancer works slick as a whistle even on small planes.

OL Tom

How do you forget to take pic's just cause your a nubeeee at the nall is not a good excuse. sounds like you had a blast at the nall, did you see any thing neet that you might try on your next bird?

Well hear in our area we have finaly got some flying weather just bits and pieces between rain and wind and never on my day or time off, so thumbs are still rusty, but been on the sim will get flights on the old dragon lady before trying the war birds

Bob T. The forgetfulness comes from old age. This time it came from sensory overload. That is a Happy Face.

[]Sad Face. Balancing has been postponed. My friend Bob warned me about transporting the plane like I was but I didn't listen.
Repairs are beginning immediately.

That really sucks, you haven't even had her in the air yet.

I was a little P.O'd at myself yesterday, I dropped one of my 35% wings out of the wing bag onto the ground when I was putting them away. Did a little damage to the root at the T.E.. Not serous, but I will have to fix it.
