Hi Andy thanks for the kind words, you never know she might be out of your price bracket!
the plane in the background is a Ziroli P40 done in the Australian scheme based in papa new guinea in WWII.
i don't know whether you noticed in the bottom left hand corner of the picture is my new project - a Ziroli P61[>:]
which should be out at the end of the year.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Hi Andy, I hope you are well,
I'm not sure if I'm going to make it this weekend, I have been working flat out on the two F4F Wildcats, one has been shipped out to Scott P in Florida and has been successfully test flown by Scott, here is the link,, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkdjdysZbQ4 and the other is getting shipped out today tomorrow to Texas for Barry, both are going to Top Gun at the end of this month!!
So I have been working through the night to get Barry's done in time and I'm absolutely shattered to say the least, I might try and get up for Sunday but if not have a great time and I will see you at Barkston.
Ps you know you said you would help as crew!! well I now have Dave Johnson's Old 18ft B17, so this is the next project for Chroming!!!
Cheers Graham B

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Great thread guys, beutiful planes !! Here is my recently finished Ziroli Dauntless fitted with a Gt80 which flies like a dream. I still need to do the weathering, which will be done now I know shes a gud en.
I have a Ziroli 92" Thunderbolt to build this coming winter and im in need of some advice. The plan shows a Zenoaha 62, but I have my doubts as to performance. Should I go with the plan, or choose a different motor, DA 85, 3W 80 ect??
Any comments/suggestions would be warmly welcomed,
Kind regards,
Frank

Hi,
Yes great to build and pretty straight forward. The 70" Thunderbolt tends to turn out heavy for its size, mine was about 18lbs a.u.w. I think its over engineered for its size, but it still flies great.

Dear All
What a lovely collection of warbirds, congratulations to all concerned with their maiden flights.
Always a nervous time that.
I have to say Arron I was very impressed with your P40 at Barkston.
It really did look the part in the air.
Well done that man.
Regards Phil G.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters
Dear All
It is just two weeks now until the Tibenham event.
I can hardly contain myself.
Hardwick Warbirds have updated their website, below is a link to the site
if you would like to take a look.
http://www.hardwickwarbirds.com/
Below are some pictures of Maurice's other Mustang 'Janie'
and my 1/6th scale Galaxy Mustang.
One thing I am looking forward to at this event (weather permitting of course)
is the two 1/4 scale radial powered Sea Furies.
Regards Phil G.
