Hi Lou,

ditto to you mate. Still have the 47 and the Cub (rebuild). 90" Spit Mk XII that needs a refurb but it will not be as in depth as the P51. Lots of other kits waiting too. TF GS Corsair (2001), TF Cessna 182 (1996), Ultimate Bipe (1997).

Little time for planes of late what wit hthe house renovations and work. By the way work has offered me a new role, much wider in scope, direct reports etc. Going through the salary negs at the moment. Always fun part.

Sea Fury sounds like a good plane. Check over on some of the UK sites, bound to be info on it there. Did you get the link to a mob who had aref book for the fury? Think it was in one of your other threads.

There is a Full Size Sea Fury flying locally but it got impounded by the Feds along with a T-28, Yak 3 and P51 plus some GA stuff after the owner got done for Tax avaoidance going back several years. Bloody shame as they would be great for ref piccies.

Take care
cheers
Peter

Eric , I understand and you can always pm me and i can tell you what the quote was and what others quoted . I just did not want to get into a "wow you paid to much "or a "wow he is not charging enought " .
I submitted a contract , inventory list and exact details of everything sent . I even suggested that since I was asking for this plane in the all-ready to -cover stage that the builder did no have to attach the tail area at all -but all flying surfaces should be hingded . I did this to allow for a smaller crate to be used so that the money paid for shipping would not eat all his profits .Trust me I thought of everything , I am extremly detailed in negotiations making sure every aspect is covered .
However he insisted that was not nessasary the plane would be shipped in ARC form all finsihed .ya maybe in my dreams lol [X(]

Pete sounds like your busy , that is always good . Its the start of winter so I am running with ice hockey with the two boys , work just picked up a another company from Belgium called ISIS , all Belgium chocolate [&:]so its crazy . I have the seafury on the table , the F14 under the table , small baercat to crank out but I still did not get to the CMP P40 all part in box -saito 180 , sierra gear , full pilot , ect .That is the one I really want to bash !!

Yes I did get the link on the seafury , thanks , I just amazed how difficult it was to get into on this great plane .

I got some pictures yesterday of the Mr Aerodesign Beaver that should have been finished long ago and it just zinged me to see the lack of progress. Hopefully the SR9 will be fully covered next week and I can claim some progress. I'm not holding my breath cause I suffocated long ago... [:@]

I may want to sell my TopFlite SR9 when it is done covered and ready to paint. I'll post it to the appropriate section but if anyone is interested before I post it PM me. After three years you kind of lose the desire to look at something that caused that much stress.

Hey,
Lou. belgium chockky huh yummo! Have to say my one weakness is chocolate. We have a snack stand here run by the social club , uses an honesty system and it has cadbury chocy bars, just can't resist everytime I walk past. cup of coffee, chocolate - all I need is a Grand Marnier to top it off.

Yes the hockey would be in full swing with you guys, I bet Denver is pretty as a picture right now. Transistioned through there back in Jan 97 on my way home from Texas. Was right on dusk and the field was full of snow, very pretty then on the climb out we went right over the ski fields and you could see the skiiers night sking with lit lanterns. Like a post card.

Man you have as many projects as I do mate. Time is what we need, think I need to win lotto so I can retire!

Busy busy.

catch you later
cheers
Peter

Nothing new to report this week Lou. No new pictures and no responses to email. I get the impression we are returning to never never land again OR... we never left. I have no patience left, that was used up about two years ago. What I'm struggling to deal with now is not going ballistic and posting threads all over the internet about Mark's lack of integrity. Even now when all of this has been coming out I still do not get priority and progress. Is that because I live in the west and Mark knows I won't easily travel out to Florida and knock the door down? It is just difficult to fathom how a person who says he depends on customers to make a living can treat a paying customer this way.

The SR9 was to be finished this week. I have received no communication stating such and of course no pictures. I'm 110% sure it isn't done or I would have received something. I may start my own thread with a stronger title. That seemed to work for you Lou.

Alan , I finally received papers from the Better Business B so I will still fill the out the forms complete . Also I dont know if you have noticed but his website has been updated with new ARCs and some other products . Rediculously expensive vs market trends but you never know with Mark .
I hate to tell you this but you may just want to make an appointment with Ocala sherifs department , then ensure that Mark will be home and send him a certified letter that you are coming for the planes .
Ask him to have the crates built but make sure they are not packed until yo ucan get there with a local deputy because you will noy have any way of telling what is in the crates , bring a camera and just maybe you can get out of this for under $1000.
Thats your flight , car rental , and cost to check the oversized freight back to Utah .
Unless you can get a cheap flight on Southwest , I dont know of low fairs out of Utah

I have started a new thread in the electrics forums. I've been promised resolution but have seen nothing so the best thing I can do for the hobby now is inform others so that they don't fall prey to the same tricks. You can view the thread at the below link.

I have had several others contact me with the exact same experience, one just today. My goal is now to protect others from making the same mistake. Good to hear from you Lou. Wish it would have turned out differently.

Alan , good to hear from you as well . My loss is nothing compared to yours , my boys still joke about how trusting I was considering how much we school our kids to watch for strangers and also not to be fooled ect ect .
I told them this was differant , that the rc community is like a brotherhood and we watch out and trust each other . That the bad guys in this hobby are few and far between ect ect , I guess this is a lession , be careful be warned .Some -non-rc people will take advantage of the good nature people in this hobby .
Alan , I can only hope you get your planes back even in the non built form .
Thanks
Lou

Alan, sorry to read this thread. I had no idea what you were going thru. No wonder I hadnt seen you out flying much. Too much stress like that can ruin the hobby. I am hoping I will be home at elast for the Open House this Saturday. I had to work yesterday otherwise I would have driven out friday. I am hoping we arent scheduled for any flying this coming Saturday. The training is going well. The good part about this job is that it makes me want to fly my planes again unlike the previous job!

Alan

Another Victim Reporting
I have to report that I mailed this LIAR an Aquila Grande kit (full kit) not a dream catcher short kit (TWO) years ago! First it was delayed sickness, leg cancer, alien abduction, list goes on. I *****ed and he finally said he will ship it in two weeks etc etc. a month later he said he shipped it. it never arrived I (You know how this is going but please be patient it's therapy for me) called him again and he said he will call the post office, he claimed he insured it so I wanted my money back. Than it was I will find a replacement, he did in a week (pretty good for a hard to find 1970 sailplane kit) anyway he said he would build it rush job two months, which turned int almost another year. Then his ***** Bruce( real person????) anyway long sad story he mailed it back to me THE ORIGINAL KIT !! I remember two torn holes in the yellowed instructions I sent him. Guess what it was UNFINISHED! AHHHHHHHHHHH the cretin didn't even touch it. But he sure touched the money I sent him.
Almost all of the time I have ever meet interacted with RCers has been a pleasant experience, you all should be proud of that. But this Liar has a sickness I rarely want to beat anyone to the dirt but he is one of the few.

Now I can't stand to look at the model anymore. anyone want to buy an Aquila Grande kit ? Best Offer
