I am working on a 1/4.5th Corsair. I am new to warbirds so I may be asking the questions wrong.

Anyway, I like the color schemes (Blue & Yellow) on the 2 aircraft pictured on the XXL website.

How does a person go about finding pictures of the real one's for me to duplicate.............

Thank You

I am building a Don Smith 1/4 scale F4U-7 Corsair. It has the same wingspan as Grahams. Matter of fact he made me 2 canopies with aluminum frames and simulated rivets. I'm going with the French Navy version which is the one your talking about. Here are some pics. If you need a set call Bob's Aircraft Documentation and ask him to send you a set photo paak# 3070. There are 17 pictures in the pack for $20.50. He can also send you a bunch of scale drawings of the plane and the locations of the strips, etc.

I hope this info helps,

Gibbs

Gibbs,
Thank you so much. I was actually talking about the other one with LD on the tail. It is apparently a marine version. Would you have any info on it? Thank you for your time.

Paul,

That I wouldn't know. But check with Bob's Aircraft Documentation and just ask him for what you want.

Hi Nigel,
Yep, it was good to see you, I hope your other half is feeling better.

Yes Nigel you have done another great job on the art work,ANNIE looks the bizz.

We had a start up last night down at the WF and she sounds so good, my exhaust held up very well to the Moki and it gives her a real throaty sound, Arron has tacken another vid so should be posting it up when he has time.

Once again nigel a very big thank you for all your hard work on the nose art.

Regards Graham.

Hi All,

I need your help!!!!!!
I'm looking for surface detail on the top of the main wing of the Mark 5-n, the wing differs from the earlier mark's as the outer panels are all metal, I just want to get all this detail right before I paint.

Cheers Graham.

Hi All,

Been adding more dirt around the exhaust areas, once dry this will then be wire wooled back to make a bit more real looking.

Still trying to find more info on the wing,if any one has anything please share with us.

Cheers Graham Buchanan.

Hmmm. I’ve been looking at the progress on the web cam I think you are going to be a few days before we need to worry about masks for that, but I am sure I can manage that one. Is it 90% ?? can't decide.

Graham. Send me an e-mail. I just sent you a message and it was returned as undeliverable. Have you changed your e-mail address??

Hi Arron,
Yep I know how you feel, my email is still playing up,I can read all my mails but it won't let me reply!!!

Hi Dave, what scheme are you doing the P51 in,are you still going up for a jolly in the p51 when done,I can just see the 2 daves inverted down the strip!!!!!!.

Looks like Little Buck will be with us for next season,I'm glad she is still with me,just got her going right after all the tweaking, and Arron has still got to see her fly.

Cheers Graham B.

Hi Nigel,

Well you will be surprised then, he wants it done by the end of February!! ive got the elevators and the rudder at the Warbird Factory at the moment to paint in top coat!![X(][X(]

Ive told him you are doing the masks for him and hes just leaving it to me to arrange with you, we will have a chat early Jan with regards to you coming down for a measure up!

Graham, im sure he will take us for a spin in it, sounds like he enjoys flying the 'real' planes as much as the model ones, hes ordered the next one to build already!!

Scheme will be 'Big Beautiful Doll'....... need to find a supplier of chequered paint?................

I had a P.M. the other night, i was told you P38 was still sold and he was coming down to collect it???

All the best,
Mr x Mrs Dave n Di.....

Hi Dave & Di,

Yes congrats, on popping the question!!!!! so we all want to know when the big day is??? as long as it's not on the same day as Flying Legends!!!! you could always get Dave S to do a fly by for the big day!!!

Dave if you are after some shiney Chrome paint I have found the brand!!!
Tell Dave S he has got to get A 190!!! and they are from Germany!!!

Dave , Regarding my P38, I have had no more calls to say he wants it,so it's news to me.
