Thats what this hobby is about... sharing. I guess I can't speak for everyone but sometimes we forget the importance of that... You are all welcome. I wish I had time to take more but the weekend went by very fast. Looking forward to next year!

Jeff, there are prob no pics of it because of the blinding speed at which it travels....film today is not that advanced to catch such a rocket in focus....

Can anyone tell me why this event moved from the Jeffco Aeromodler's Chatfield State Park facility to Drake field?

The Scoop we will have to order as they only come with a cowl as a pair.
I will order you a new scoop. Regarding the P-47 inner doors, Do you mean the two small doors near the belly pan?

As a member of Love-air, and having been present at the meeting where the club was aproached to host the event, we had a better abilty to grow the event where Jeffco could not. The Jeffco field is located in a state park and this creates certain limitations. The Love-air field is located on private property and so we do not have the growth limitations that Jeffco does. Also, anyone who has flown at Jeffco over the past few years know that the airspace at that field has been diminished by the placement of a campground jut north of the main runway.
Otherwise I know of no personal issues between the organizers of the WOTR or Jeffco but at this point it really does not matter because this is, and will be a great and greater event in the future.

I know what the politics were, but, in any event, i have to say that the Drake Field near Ft Collins is a much better venue for large events like Warbirds over XXXXX (place whatever name you want in there). Warbirds over the Rockies will become one of the largest warbird flyins in the coming years on this side of the USA. So, you'll of course hear Warbirds over Deleware, Bomber Field, and Warbirds over the Rockies. Aside from those, not many actually get coverage in MAN or FlyRC that are flyins and not competition orientated.
Im glad its up there at Drake field, for one, its a better field then Chatfield as laid out by Vertical Grimace, and two, its only 15 mins from my house

Actually there was very little politics involved; however, there may be folks who would like to think otherwise. As the stated above, Drake Field affords the ability put on a first class event and not lose money as well as be able to grow the event in the future. We certainly had a great time hosting everyone and look forward to seeing all of you again next year. We will be deciding on a date in the very near future.

Kirk,
Didn't you get the memo?
Meister does not support parts for those cloning companies.... Does the copy cat Co. not supply the parts for their products? I love that. Let me see what I can do. You see, Meister really does have the best support staff, even for those copy cat companies! You made my day! Is your back healing yet? I love you man.

The 8 year old Shoo Shoo Baby is owned by Doug Smith of Coral Springs, Florida. The pilot and show off was no other then the great Dino Di Georgio. He makes it look so easy. This B-17 has over 400 flights on it. It's powered by 4 G-23's, Robart gear, except tail wheel. " We don't do retractable tails wheels, too much of a pain in the a__. " According to Doug. Futaba Radios. Doug Smith, Limey, Doc and Jonathan ( myself, ) You may have seen me with an apron on. I was behind the grill, t raveled 36 hours straight from Florida for this event. Not sure we would drive it again. We keep picturing Dorothy. Nice event, we had a great time. The Rockies are beautiful. We missed our humidity tho... Thanks to the guys for inviting me on this trip. Thanks to everyone that made this event possible. Especially Brian and Bonnie, Sam, Frank, Scott, Dino, The cd, Impound and Air boss. I can't forget to mention the cookshack crew. They did a great job under alot of pressure. We cooked over 1000 lunches on Saturday, 500 on Friday and Sunday. J.

Hey guys... heres another shot of the awesome bombing run blasts and some more aircraft!!! The Seafury was the full scale highlight of the event.
He made a few LOW passes that made your heart pound! Please help me out in finding the owners of the WWI aircraft....

Dino

The person flying the red triplane was Kirk from Min. I was flying the Blue and yellow Fok D VII. Vertical Grimmance was flying the Green triplane and Lozenge Fok D VII and the other person flying the D VIII on the last day was from Clovis. I am sorry his names eludes me at the moment
