P,
I carry the full line of Tamiya paints. They do make a clear however, I do not think its fuel proof. If you are looking for Zero Documentation look here..

Patrick,
I have the zero book and it is awesome! Well worth the price. You will not find a better source for everything. I would go with Tamiya paint. That is what I painted mine with and it looks awesome. Keep up the good work man. I'm proud of ya!

Patrick,
This weekend I will be with PJ.
Let me know when you open it. Be careful as its in a padded pouch.
It comes in a nice binder. Let me know what you think or post it here... good or bad. The only complaint I received was someone claiming that it was copied from a Squadron book... I laughed and replied it was taken from internet sources. However it took me 4 months of research per book!
later on man.

Hey Guys nice thread. Finally, for the 50cc! I have one of these as well but haven't begun the build yet. Currently I'm finishing up a KMP Spit and it's been along road with little time to work on it. I thought I might try an ASP 5 cylinder Radial four stroke for the 50 cc Zero (need the nose weight and the sound) and as well as modify the flaps and gear as they are not scale. Glass with panels have to happen on a large plane like this so I appreciated your work Bubs!

No, I have been on the search myself. The angle of the wheels is swept very far forward to help in keeping the plane from nosing over on this kit so you have to decide if you are okay with that or not. I think I'll go with a more scale setup and just use a high elevator for taxi. There is a company called shindin machine (http://www.shindinmachine.com/) that will customize retracts as well as oleo struts. He has some for the zero that look quite scale but I haven't checked them for size. I exchanged a few emails with the owner, "Lenny" who seemed interested in making a set for this kit. He needed the measurements to do so and so I began to put a package together for him but got very busy with work so I didn't complete it. Winter's coming though and I look to go full force into this project once the Spit is compete. I have also considered Sierra giant scale as well as yellows retracts for their zero (maybe a bit too small). Again, I need to look into the sizes here.

Lenny has developed a set for the World Models Zero, which is almost identical to the CMP.... You can either pay him to modify a set for you if needed, or slightly modify your wings to accomodate what he's got. I would personally recommend doing slight mods to your wings, so you can beef up the area anyway. Another option I have heard of folks doing, is using the the H9 mechanicals that are in their P47 and p51...and replace the struts with Shindins from Lenny. Someone on here has pictures of that setup, and reflected very little mod.

Tell me about it....I have wheels on order from Robart for my Spit (http://www.robart.com/Tuff/4Spoke.aspx) that have been months in the making. I get the same answer every time I call there: "We are in the process of making those this week...." Well, it's November, my order was placed in JUNE! It seems Robart is dropping the ball on a few things.
