Dino,
Don't let Jeff do any work to the plane. Like I told him, that he works so hard at hiding stuff that you gona look up and the plane will be gone. It will vanish into the {SCALE LIGHT ZONE} Looks great man keep up the good work. Todd

Hey Gary,
The wing pylons are built of balsa and thin ply. they are then attached to the wing with a couple of small bolts. Micro servo installed inside the pylon to operate the bomb release.

Thanks. That's what it looked like. We have some very fragile ABS ones. For now, it looks like we will make them removable and upgrade later.

Not done yet guys, but here are some pictures of our cockpit so far. Still have the bomb site and seat to install. I want to find a pilot before mounting the seat so it is at the right height. Seems that most are either 1/6 or 1/4 scale. Any good ones out there? I will also work on getting some dirt and wear in there.

Gary,
Here are some pics of the pylons for you.
Also, Our Premier 15" Pilot is the perfect size for the Jug. These photos are from the Ocala Summers End event yesterday.
Chris's new P-47 was fitted with the new pilot.
Its in between 1/4 and 1/5 scale...

Thanks Dino. Looks good. We will add him to the list. What engine did Chris use, the DA 85?

The wood pylon looks good too. We have talked about maybe adding electric release later.

Use Hitec 645 high torque metal gears all around should be ok. maybe something bigger like Hitec 755 on the flaps, this plane needs full flaps to slow down on landings, George.

Vladimir,
Greetings!
However, I cannot comment on the CJM P-47 as its not a Meister but a copy that was not reviewed by myself. I have heard that the CJM design is VERY heavy. I cannot give any recommendations on set up as its not a Meister product. I am sure the people at CJM can give you that info. Maybe you should start a CJM build thread on RCU to get some help on your subject.
Hope all is well in Russia!!

Holy crap! 54 lbs and it flies like that. Very impressive. What gear did you use? (please) Our CJM gear says it is good to 35 lbs.

Pilot43, we just finished Flight Metal on our wings. It took 75 feet of 6" wide, the whole roll we got from Flight Metal. We are getting 30 feet of 12" material from Dino for the fuselage and tail feathers. It takes a lot of material to cover a 1/5 scale Jug. The good news is it is not that hard to do. A little practice and it goes very well, even the wing tips. The surface preparation is critical. Every little imperfection in the surface is seen in the metal when applied. Take your time and carefully prime and sand areas to be covered with metal. We used 320 to sand the glassed areas after each coat of primer. After covering, pad your bench as it is easy to pick up marks in it after it is applied. Personally, I like them, they look like weathering to me.

We put Hitec 5945s on the flaps. Think they will be OK? JR 8411s on everything else less throttle, choke, and air valve (4721), rudder (JR 8611), tail wheel steering (NES 791). Still need to install a servo for the canopy.
