The "fighter" depends on the content. You can understand it as a "bojovnÃ*k" (for ex. Rambo, Mark Tyson, some gladiator...) But now, I know, that you are talking about the WW II warbird, so I understand it as a "stÃ*haÄ�ka".
Sometime we can omit subject ("it"= "to") PÅ™opomÃ*ná mi (to) Gee Bee R2. You should change the word order. The "I" in your second sentence is probably mistake of the translator. Google?
For me, is the biggest problem the articles (the,a, an). We don´t have them in the Czech, so sometimes I don´t know, where I have to use it. :D

And I agree with you. It looks like the Gee Bee R2. Soviet forces had a lot of aces on this fighters. I don´t understand how they were able to fly this "cabrio" aircrafts during the Russian winter. The temperatures were around -20, -30°C.

Yes, I used ESM La-7 landing gear for it and home made tail gear (very heavy), I must change the tail gear. All equipmet even the elevator servos I put as forward as it is possible. Wooow, the second picture is great!!! Low flight past. I´m not a big builder. A lot of work is did by my father, because I study aircraft engineering at the university in another city where I live. This is the reason, why I will be at home on Friday.

It was very dangerous situation. The batteries could has bad impact on the C.G. I would be happy if, I would managed this situation like you.

Thank you for the nice comments. I was very lucky that day the damage was minor. Know all I need is a cowl so I can fly the Zero once again.:D

I don´t know how big is the damage of your cowl. But maybe the easiest way is buy other one.

I have been looking for a cowl for a year now for it. My friend said he could make me a cowl and all he needs is the dimensions. He said he can make it much stronger then the original cowl.;)

The CMP Zero will fly very well at 11000 grams (apprx 24.25lbs). The flight characteristics of this plane are exceptional given its weight . I wouldn't be concerned about it at this weight at all.

I have had some luck using the" Nitro Models support "site at the very top of the ARF section here on RCU to get cowls and canopies . It is not a painless process but its the only way I have been able to get any parts from CMP . I did get a good cowl and a broken canopy through the support site .

BTW the cowl is 9-1/4" wide at the rear ,7-1/2" wide at the front, 8-1/18" long , the opening at the front is appx 6" in diameter and the cowl nose rollover radius appears to be a 1" radius

Thanks for the dimensions of the cowl. I will compare them to the dimensions Prekin is sending me. R U sure it is only 8 1/8" long. I am asking this because I have a note that says the prop hub of the engine is 8" from the firewall. That only leaves about 1/4" to mount the cowl to the fuselage. I have tried the nitroplanes support and they said they only get a cowl instock when someone returns a kit that was damaged in shippment. They told me that almost a year ago.[:'(] I will give the dimensions of the cowl to a friend of mine who is going to mold me a cowl that will be much stronger than the original cowl. Thanks you for your help[;)

I will try and upload a picture. No I cannot upload a picture. They must be having some problems with that feature right know. Can you send me the dimensions you have of your cowl and I'll compare them to the dimensions Chris just sent me. How did you do on your exams in school this week?

rear diameter: 250 mm
front diameter: 145 mm
radius: 25mm

What means for example 5-1/2" is it 5" minus 1/2" or 5" and half?

5 1/2" is 5" + 1/2" or 139.7mm

With the cowl mounted it is set back over the fuselage a little. The setback will give you a little room to play with cowl depth and engine mounting to get the correct prop hub to cowl clearance. If you are going to build a cowl making it longer in depth may look more scale and will allow you to set the engine farther ahead to get the C.G with less added weight.

Thank you again for your info about the Cowl. I will have my frind mold me a cowl and make it about a 1/4" longer then your dimensions. With your help and the help from Prekin we can get started with the molding of the cowl this weekend. My freind said since this cowl is so hard to fined and is so wesk in construction he will keep the mold and sell come to others out there who my be looking for a stronger cowl. He said since this plane needs so much weight added to the nose you might as well have a good strong cowl that can hold up to the every day miss haps.:D
