There have been several ppl that tried using those rubber mounts and ended up removing them. The rubber can actually cause oscillation creating MORE vibration then would occur with a direct hardmount.

Fliteskin or Dave Platt.

Or you can turn a backplate and the use the original spinner. I use the original with an aluminum backplate.

Anchored by a center bolt to a long alum hex nut securing the prop.

Still, l keep all clear from high speed spinning items. No matter who or what its made out of.

Gonzalo38 ,
I am in the process of having spinners made just for this plane in the correct size. I expect the spinner domes here any day now. The backplates will be cnc cut with lightening holes to keep the weight down...

Here is a pic of a larger 109 spinner i carry...

Balance to the wings is STANDARD PROCEEDURE with me. You will be glad you did and impressed with the results in take off, flying and your landings. I was taught [ by some "old school builder's andpilot's"] that THISISAMUST to get the best out of your plane. I know of some club members who have flown much longer than me who say they never balance the wings. I have also seen them destroy plane's on take off and landing due to tourque roll and stalls. I also learned you can't tell a guy what he doesn't want to hear, even when you can prove it. Balance your plane and you will NEVER regret it.

IS , can you tell me when you say "balance the wing" I am assuming you mean balance the entire plane latterally as well as the normal manner

Ok guys,
I just got the Spinner domes in and they are right on the money size wise. The shape is right from a 3 view. I have 15 domes.
I have to go back and search through my e-mail and Pm's. If those of you who are wanting a spinner please e-mail me direct. If I have more than 15 people wanting 1 I will get more. I will check back through my e-mails to see who was in line if it comes to that..

The spinners will be $65 plus shipping. That is way under what i originally thought. I am taking these to my back plate guy tomorrow and he gave me a 1-2 week turn around for 15....

I am headed to a flyin tomorrow also but will try to answer emails from my blackberry...

E-mail me at : [email protected]

Thanks Ty

Well I’ve put this off about as long as I could… so its time to set up the flaps and the spoileron. To make this work the way I have it envisioned the glycol cooler flap (GCF) will act as part of the auto temp control so as I increase the T off idle the GCF and spoiler will open about the width of the opening under the wing. Then when the flaps are deployed when the CGF comes down the spoileron follows it down. To do this I needed to mount two servos in the GCF cover and the pictures below will show how I intend to do this.

The two servos were cleaned then bonded together with R6000 from A.C. Moore, then clamped for drying with a C-clamp. Then add a pull tie just incase the bond gives way.

the other flap servo is pretty std. but here it is. the aileron servo had some side mounting tabs so alittle managers tape and some screws and away we go.

The KMP gear made by Sierra does NOT fit this plane as u mentioned. Darrel made a set specific for this plane and fits no problem, but, may be a tad short. The robart ones seem decent for anyone wanting wire struts, although with the overall weight of this plane, I wouldnt put wire struts on it myself.

RE: CMP BF109F BUILDING THREAD

The Robart kit fit perfectly on slot and no modification are necessary. You can ad a strut covers from Robart if you don't like to see a wire struts...

For me, its not the looks of the wire strut so much, but the weight of the plane. A good set of working oleo struts will make a huge difference in how it lands.
