I received a Redcat Volcano EPX Pro and when I turn it on, the ESC blinks green twice causing the truck to twitch twice, then ESC goes to blinking red. Also, after I bind the RX and shut off the ESC, the RX goes back to blinking red. The truck won't move at all and there's no steering.
New to this so wondering if ESC or RX are bad and if so, how to tell which is causing the problem.
Thanks in advance.

What ESC do you have?
My initial guess is you may have to bind the transmitter and receiver, and then set-up the ESC's neutral/maximum throttle points. From my experience, a blinking LED on the receiver usually means it is not getting a signal from the transmitter. Once you get the receiver's LED to stop blinking, then you should be able to control the steering at least, and move on to the setting up of the speed control's throttle settings (neutral, max. fwd., max. rev.).

Thanks RustyUs. I just have the stock ESC with the fan on top. The RX will bind, but then becomes unbound once I turn the ESC off. Even when bound, car won't move, won't steer and ESC blinks red continuously after the initial 2 green blinks after being turned on. I have ordered a new RX and ESC to see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I'm positive Redcat Racing uses a FlySky FS-GT2 (with Redcat's name on it of course). That being said, you went through the whole binding procedure with the plug and pressing the bind button on the transmitter as per the manual? If bound correctly, the receiver's LED should not be blinking after you turn off the power; then back on again.

If you do indeed have a messed up receiver, then yeah, you won't be able to set-up the ESC's throttle. I sometimes had to try binding my Tx/Rx a couple of times because of the broken English translation going on in the instructions. Normally you would have the power turned off to the ESC, and hold a "set-up" button while you turn the power on to your RC. This is normally (not always) the way to get into an ESC's "set-up" mode. But since your receiver loses bind every time you turn the power off to your receiver...it's a lost cause I guess.
I hope you have better luck when you get the new receiver.

Don't forget new or fully charged batteries .
Translating the manual can be hard , here is a video of the binding process .
Just ignore the battery cable for the receiver , it is for nitros . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q24Jp0iePo
Hope you get it going , nothing worse than a new toy you can't play with !!!
