What is a fairly good fail safe, not to much $$ that will work with 6v,not 4.8?
Also I was looking at my Tower catalog today and they have a thing called a formost valve, goes between the muffler and fuel tank-suppose to stop stalling and back pulses? ANYONE run one of these on their RC cars?if so is it worth getting?
Thanks
DOUG

I use the Duratrax failsafe and it operates on 6 volt. You have to go to a hump battery or NiCad / Mi-Mh AA's in your reciever, it won't work with alkaline batteries. I got mine from Tower.

I use a TRS (throttle return spring). Doesn't require power and its real cheap. I wouldn't bother with the fourmost valves, if the engine is stalling its a tuning problem. Insted get a fuel filter, much more useful and it extends your engine life.

you can use one from a full sized carb for a car or for a screen door, home depot has them
one end goes on the throttle arm, the other end wraps around the back of the engine and hooks to something (screw, bracket) so if the throttle servo goes dead, it can pull the throttle closed.

if you have durable rubber bands, triple or quadruple up on them and use those. If one breaks, you have 3 or 2 for backups. Those backups will do the job until you have the time to throw a new one on.

If not I'm going the spring route
And tanks all for the replies about the formost valve
Thanks
