I am so tired of this pile of junk.. this will is the third time my clutch bell has come loose and lost all the internal parts. I put loctite on the screw that holds the bell down and with a lockwasher I thought that would be good. But, after 3 tanks, there goes my clutch again!! I have done nothing but repair and put money into this thing and I am tired of it. I wish I had never spent the money on this stupid pile of crap. I should have just went with another company that makes a good product. Another thing, This will be the third steering plate I have replaced, even "upgraded one" bends!! I am ready to set it on fire. If anybody knows where I can get the screw and the sleeve that goes over the screw for the clutch bell please let me know. Maybe there are some alternate parts that I can use if anybody knows please inform me. This truck has only one gallon through it and after I fix the clutch AGAIN I am selling it for something that doesn't break every 2 minutes if anybody is interested...

I read a Post in the Avalanch or Monsoon thread that said it was a good idea to use a LONGER screw and Lots of loctite to secure the Clutch Bell.
I would go to a Pep Boys (auto parts store) and but an automotive grade (hardened) screw and lockwasher (especially get a Hardened LOCKWASHER). This will Probably solve your Screw/Clutchbell problem.
Also, You CAN reach that screw without taking anything apart. You should Probably check it every now and then, between runs and gas ups.
As for the Steering Plate? Ehroof has a Fix he is working on. It is a DIFFERENT steering Plate, Hopefully Stronger.
He is Testing it out right now and will let everyone Know if it works better than Stock.
Check the AVALANCHE thread for details or PM Ehroof for the scoop.
Lol. If you are Serious about Selling your Truck, PM me, I will buy it from you.
Last weekend ,I watched my Buddy work on his REVO most of the day while I ran My Redcats. LOL, the screws on his electric starter kept commin loose and Jammin the thing so it wouldnt Start[:@]. They ALL break Cheeba.
I Know ur Pissed, but Hang in there Bro....

I know they all break I have been doing this for some time now. But, they should not break every tank of fuel just driving it through the front yard. What about the sleeve that fits inside there where can I get one of those or should I just try to run it without it?? Thanks for the input bro.. I will try one more time with this pile and if doesnt work then it will be sold or set on fire!!

As for the Sleeve you Lost? You might e-mail Clermont. If he doesnt Have it, he can get it Drop Shipped to you from Redcat for less $ (usually) than the Redcat Website.

Cheeba thats too bad you are having such problems. Since I did my steering mod I have not had any problems with the steering. I have not had any problems with my clutch either. I did replace teh engine so I have not run the stock one. When I first got the truck I went over everything, engine change and locktited the clutch. No problems at all in that area. I would recommend a longer screw and ther heavy duty locktite with lock washer. These trucks arent perfect but by no means a peice of junk. My sons avalanche is soo much better than my t maxx. Its a hobby and everything has its problems. Any how I dont think it would be hard to sell though if thats what it comes down to.

So, I fixed the clutch and took her out for a spin. After 1 1/2 tanks, the bolt that holds the cluthbell sheared off inside the crankshaft! I am done with this thing so to all that are interested it's for sale. You will need to tap out the screw and fix the clutch but other than that it is rtr. It will come with factory (digital fm) rx & tx, upgraded (Redcat) steering plate, hitec hs 645mg for throttle and hitec hs 5645mg with aluminum horn for steering. It has twomanytoys recommended steering bump stops and a motorsaver airfilter. Also, the glow ignitor and charger, rotostart assembly and shaft and pull start and some little odds and ends. $250.00 plus shipping...
