RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

can you change the spur gear and get more speed out of your vehicle.

Macanan 01-22-2008 06:24 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

you have a single speed or 2 speed ?

ehroof 01-22-2008 07:03 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

you can change the clutch bell, its easier to do but redcat has a few different gears for the 2 speeds. the more teeth on the clutch bell the faster it will be but the less take off you get and its the opposite for less teeth, you will have better take off but will lose on some top end.

whats the diffrence between the STX and the SV?

jrags 01-22-2008 08:48 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

the sv has upgraded chrome wheels and ball joint suspension but that is the only difference

ehroof 01-22-2008 08:49 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

the suspension, the suspension on the stx is a king pin/a arm suspension the sv is a pillow ball suspension. The stx is an older version. i have the stx, need to get my hands on an sv soon.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

well my question was ive heard that aluminum parts are the way to go bcause they are stronger but also that because only some of the parts are aluminum it could cause the parts that are plastic which are attatched to the alluminum ones to break is that true.

ehroof 01-22-2008 08:59 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

100% stick to plastic, that what i do, the aluminum cost more to replace if it bends and breaks, thats just my opinion though

nitrozach54 01-22-2008 09:01 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

im the other way around. i like the aluminium
can some 1 give me some links to tower for the best AIR filters for the SV without moding my carb.?

ehroof 01-22-2008 09:07 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
