One of my favorites - but of course, you already know this. Can't wait to see it come along. Just get her done in plenty of time for the Trashman Classic! I want to see you race. Let me know how I may help.

When you get 'em finished, I gotta have a Conquest! Is Callie doing graphics for the Eagle scheme, too?

Ok. After working on getting the Czech Mate ready as well as Jeff's smaller size Tsutonami I had a few minutes Sunday during the time Eric Jaggi was getting caught up on the Czech Mate group build ( Found on another thread here) to do some work on the Conquest 1.

Here is the start of one of the Horizontal tail haves.

The two completed halves ready to be joined.

Here is the strengthening mod that was done that wasn't shown in the Czech Mate group build. First I marked back 1" from the trailing edge to locate where I wanted to place the carbon fiber rod then using the rod with a piece of sand paper wrapped around it I sanded just a little over half the thickness of the rod on both halves and dry fitted to make sure it would clear inside when the two halves were sandwiched together.

Then it was glued in using epoxy and some micro balloons before the halve were glued together.

The halves are now glued together. This was how far I got while Eric was finishing his vertical stab.

Yes! I know. I purchased 2 Bearcat kits from him last August.

I am always on the look out for the "edge".
(our local guys have been racing 1/12 scale for about 12/13 years now)

Spoke to Casey Smith earlier this evening. (So, "yes" everyone, he is still alive!) I told him about the Czechmate build we are doing, and he asked if you had your Bearcat kits done yet. I told him that you had; and, he stated that he had told you some time ago that when you did, that he wanted one. This is his favorite plane, so he still does. You might want to give him a call.
