All this talk about Macchis is making my miss the days of when people would make fun of Bull Dog and Tommy Gun.
Does anyone know what it takes to distract Tommy while racing? I've got some Big Macs on order for Bull Dog, but could use some help to distract Tommy Gun..... Hmmm maybe some Mustang pin ups to hang on the fence in front of him.

The mental image is scary enough.... don't want to see the real thing.
One week to go. Get those entry forms in to the CD's. See you next Sunday morning.
And by the way..... Saw Roy out at the field today.... he had a perfect 3 point landing...... Mains and nose...... what a horrible sound. [X(]

Didn't even try to fly over the weekend. The Tomcats field on the weekends is a zoo. Will be going out tomorrow for sure and probibly friday as well. The plan is to do some flying at Sams saturday with the Macchi and my IMAC plane. Need to visit R/C Country too. You guys sure are spoiled with such a well stocked and operated shop. I havent sent anything in to the CD as of yet, is this a must or can it be handled during regestration on Sunday morning?

Late registration is accepted, however there is usually a late fee. Not sure what the CD's are doing for this race. Having the form in early allows us to matrix and pre-register the pilots so that things go quicker on race day.

Less than a week until my payday, I am so look forward to coming up there and giving all of you a flying lesson*.
Yesterday I test ran the YS 120 SC I got and boy did it run sweet, I was pulling 10,100 on 30% with a 14x12. That is going to be one great gold class engine for me. I will get another one of Chris's headers and a good plane to race and next year I will be giving you gold guys a good old whipping.

*Disclaimer, a lesson in model aviation 2 pole warbird plyon racing, not a full scale flying lesson.

Bulldog-
Here in the U.S. our speeds are measured in MPH...... you may think you're going fast if you're still using KPH as your basis for speed measurement. Either way we'll see you Sunday and show you what fast is. Your "lesson" on slow flight will be watched I'm sure.

I am British not a continental moron, I always have and always will measure speed in MPH not that stupid KPH system, I mean 160KPH to me do not mean I am going fast, it is just a number but 100MPH is fast (same speed give or take).
If your looking for a lesson on slow speed then you should ask Casey Litefoot Smith, I am sure he will put on a good demonstration cause you ain't going to see more than a big red blur with me.

This is the kind of skillful, fast flying that I intend to be doing on Sunday.
Note strong language NSFW - but this is one cool video

Practice went very well today. The engine is starting to put out some decent power. On the ground I tached at 15,200 with a 9.25X8 prop ( Brand Confidential ) By Sunday I sould have it weened off 10% and running some 15%. Oh and we test flew her twin brother as well. Hehe

No, I didn't see the race on the calendar and scheduled my vacation for next week. I'll be on my way to Oregon.
I snapped the rod in my 140 a few weeks ago. It was running good up to that point. I think I have figured out my rich condition in the air. I need to order a few parts before our race in October.
I bought my son an SC10 for his birthday so now we have two. I've been having fun playing with him and haven't flown in 3-4 weeks.
Good luck to you all. Have fun.

Yup, that red plane will be pretty blurry as I pass it.
Talk to Teddy Bear about slow. I'm just glad he moved up a class. I got tired of lapping him and he was always in the way. He's everybody elses problem now.

Ah litefoot, your an optimist, I respect that even if it is misplaced.
When I storm to victory don't get too upset, there is still first loser available.
Oh and if you could tell me what my dust tastes like while your eating it.

Speedracer your gunna love Casey "Leadhead" Smith for the same reason everyone at our field does. This character doesn't allow facts to get in the way of a good story. Although you wouldn't know how old he really is with all the smack talk and yo' mama jokes.

I never said anything about anybodys mama Teddy Cub, and you're only as old as you feel. I think after the whooping I put on you at the last race I noticed a few more grey hairs on you gramps.

I'm sure I will bear. We will be representing the the "older" group quite well. I just pulled out a few of the trophys that I won from my Q500 days. Had a couple first place ones dated 1983! Thats when we flew Scat Cats with K&B .40s. I moved on when they had progressed to Webra engines and we were flying the 3 pylon F1 course in just under 2:00. I've been flying IMAC for the past 10 years ( clue forChris )but have often thought about picking up racing again.

I think you got the wrong impression. In 83 I was barely turning 3. Smack Talk bridging generations for generations.
....Did I mention Casey sucks I'm only friends with him cause his wife.
