RE: New TRX 3.3 Engine Piston Head Surface Finish

Thats a perfect example of corrosion due to moisture. What you are seing could be a form of white rust. It's all over and what is definately frustrating is that this is a new engine and you can tell...

RE: Tuning nightmare

Just my 2 cents. The problem with the tuning on the 3.3 and 2.5 is the cooling head. Get an ACNCM cooling head or nova racing and replace the stock. It will do wonders!
Also on the 3.3 the con rod...

RE: i think i broke my motor mount

Unless you take a hammer to that motor mount it won't break. From what you're describing, the engine mount slid on the chasis plate just enough to throw off the meshing because it wasn't tight enough...

RE: need help id tmaxx

Thats an upgraded 2.5 or downgraded 3.3. The engine, battery, transmission and reciever boxes seem to be from a 3.3 version while the composite pipe and shocks from a 2.5 version.
The engine came...

RE: does this look normal???

I find a lot of the comments in here funny.

The color of your piston is fine. The color will get more pronounced the more fuel you burn through the engine. One cannot tell if your engine is...

RE: why should i not buy a savage X?

Savage X is fine for bashing.... the differentials are weak though. There are aftermarket differentials though that are much tougher. Even the Savage X SS kit differentials are better.

RE: what is best car

Big Blocks are for bashing. You won't see racers run big blocks in their Revos or Tmaxxes. The 3.3 will spank any big block in a race if tuned properly.
Big block is for suckers with money to...

RE: REVO TIRES and Wheels help

The Revo 09 version does have the 17mm hexes only that they are notched to fit the traxxas wheels.
My probem is on the outer side. My revo has 17mm wheel nuts and those I think will be the problem...

RE: what is best car

How many races have you won with your Revo? Do you really trust Traxxas about their race wins? Maybe they are talking about the ALL Revo race at the Traxxas nationals. Revo wins there all the time!...

RE: what is best car

I own T-maxx and Revo and for racing in 1/10 scale Id go with the T-maxx. It is much easier to setup for racing than a Revo and it is also a little lighte out of the box.
Most people like the Revo...

RE: Best MT for racing?

Revo is a pain to set up for racing.

The stock tires have too soft a side wall and that makes it unstable in sharp turns and the pushrod suspension is a pain to tune to your liking without some...

RE: Beginner to nitro(advice)?
