RE: simulator vs. real life?

Definately get a sim, Ihave the Phoenix and it's a great.

You can adjust for wind and have gusts at whatever frequency you desire and speed. The one thing that stands out on all the replies is the...

RE: best t-maxx engine

Nitro heli engines have a fan on the clutch bell to keep them cool. Also, they have a very narrow power range since the rotors spin between 1500-2000 RPM, with 7-9:1 ratio gives roughly 15K RPM give...

RE: is this hobby dying or is it just me

I agree on the economy being the culprit....but if you think this hobby is dying, get a heli [8D] will keep you busy for a long time. :D

RE: I HATE UPS!

I left out part of a sentence....When you choose expedited or express, the brokerage fees are not charged, but are charged with ground (standard).

RE: How do you setup 2 steering servos

To answer your question, you would need a transmitter like one for a heli or planes that has mixing capability, don't think you will find this in a grip-style TX though....maybe a Multiplex. With...

RE: I HATE UPS!

Did you have to pay $55 for R/C car action? Just curious cuz it would have been a big refusal for me.

Here's the skinny on the brokerage fee, I talked to about 5 different people at many...

RE: WD-40 to Clean after Dirt/Sand Runs (Stampede)

I was actually referring to full-size automobiles with distributor caps. Where the rotor turns and hits the contact for each plug wire to send current for a spark, the WD-40 would allow current to...

RE: WD-40 to Clean after Dirt/Sand Runs (Stampede)

I'm not saying it doesn't harm an electric motor, but I have used WD-40 many times to start a wet engine.

Whenever I sprayed down the engine back in the day, I would sometimes not get it to...

RE: whats the best engine for the t maxx

Agreed, I upgraded to 3.3 axles and diffs and now have the FOC while keeping the stock driveshafts. I killed the tranny early but since the FOC I hammered it today and yesterday and no issues with...

RE: Is nitro fuel flammable or explosive?

No, just wanted to point out that there is a great deal of age groups here and all walks of life practically.

What may be common sense to some is just a learning experience for others. No...

RE: Car takes off when started. Help!

With the throttle at idle, adjust the trim so the spring on the control arm is compressed slightly. After the engine is warmed up, slowly turn the idle speed screw out until it slows down. You want...

RE: The ULTIMATE BB Revo Build - What would you add?

I dunno, never really researched it.

However if I was going to build the "ultimate revo" I would want to get the most from my engine and save tear on the driveline. Keep in mind, it takes torque...

RE: Is nitro fuel flammable or explosive?

Well to get technical, gasoline isn't flammable...the vapors are. Fuel burns at a determined rate, explosives explode.

Here's a cool vid of a fuel charge burning inside a motor, motors run by...

RE: The ULTIMATE BB Revo Build - What would you add?

That's a pretty sweet list, be sure to post pics upon completion.

If I were building what you are, I would pay close attention to the rotating mass brother....will make a huge difference.

RE: How can I stop revo wheelies

You could try mounting your RX pack up front as well, the wing angle is not the case, it's the wing itself.

RE: Hot plug w/30% nitro?

Two gallons and I think you have received good life from your plug. I would change to a new plug.

I honestly don't like the 30% hot plug combo, did you shim the head before using the 30%?

RE: Engine Bearing removal?

Don't use a socket on bearings, metal on metal is bad unless the socket is aluminum which I doubt.

When you heat the case, the aluminum expands more than the bearing allowing removal. rccheech's...

RE: blowing TURBO glow plugs

What part is getting crushed? How is the element from the previous plug, ruining the next?

Are there pieces of plug in the cylinder that are bouncing around, I surely hope not....this would be...

RE: Car takes off when started. Help!

Keep in mind the LSN doesn't get adjusted as much as the HSN, only takes a very small amount to find the sweet spot. If you can transition from idle smoothly without it stumbling then you are very...

RE: I HATE UPS!

Still waiting to hear back on the brokerage fee issue, but what I have been told so far is it's not a UPS issue solely, or Fedex, it's a government thing and the USPS and the Canadian govt have some...

RE: Car takes off when started. Help!

What engine?

Look at the opening in the carb when you return the throttle to idle, how much of it is opened? If the LSN is too lean the motor will race, the carb should be closed and the servo...
