RE: Cox Conquest Piston Liners

Ron is the man to go to for anything Conquest. He built several for me back when I was doing faif2d combat. Last time I ran one was 6-7 years ago on an old time stunt ship. It had a rather new...

RE: Doculam

I have used a bunch of the stuff on combat models. If the plane is going to go fast and or use nitro or other model fuel seal the edges as the glue is not to strong or fuel proof. Some places that...

RE: Rare Cox Engine

I had one of these in my hot little hands at Ron Young's once. Seemed like a real nice piece, to bad it never was produced.

RE: Cox .049, OK Cub .049, Testors .049

The reason the last Testors .049 ran so well, and they are or were killers, is that Wild Bill Netzband was the main engineer. The man knows what he is doing even if he is not main stream. Bet they...

RE: Norvel .061 Problems

The Norvel revlite coating is a hard anodize. Not rocket science or maybe it is as that has been used in our military for valve coatings. It sure seems to work really well and is hard enough that...

RE: A Single-Bladed Prop? What the h....?

I did a one blade for F2D years ago. I got the blank from Billy Hughes a noted speed flier. I can not remember the pitch or the dia but it was noticeably better in both speed and pull through the...

RE: Cox .09 Glow Plug

Does anyone make a Nelson plug adapter for the .09? It would be nice to have a replaceble plug that adds RPM.

RE: question about norvels and rubber

Some of the combat fliers use Ketchup pumps to fill the bladders. The white ones that fit on big bottles of the sauce. This works best with thin wall bladders. I have never tried this but it has...

RE: Calming down the LiteHawk RC

The glow plug is a Nelson not a normal one. The Galbreath plug adapter with the Nelson plug actually adds rpm unlike the 1000 rpm loss with a normal glow plug head. The nelson plugs cost under $4...

RE: RC LiteHawk

Larry, Glad to see that you took off the good prop. I have seen 1 combat plane like this flown years ago, a VooDoo with an OS .15. It was thrilling and I am sure that this was even more so.

RE: Cox/RJL Conquest 15 R/C

Some information on the C*X Conquest .15. Back in the 80's I ran a few of these in CL combat F2D and have the following observations. The exhaust timing needs to be 155 degrees. This is achieved...

RE: Where can I buy Nitrate dope, colored tissue?

Here is some info I gathered on Thai silk a few years ago. It is good stuff, I have used about 40yards of the 5MM so far!

I settled on the 5MM #26A. I got samples of the 6mm, 8mm and an

RE: RC LiteHawk

Larry, I know how well this design goes as a CL plane. I would be prepared for a very quick plane with out all that line drag!

This is the site of Larry Driscol. He carries a Nelson plug adapter for about $10 that takes the Nelson plug (cost less than $4) and they last a lot longer than a...

RE: Fabric covering

If you want to use silk try Thai silk, they are on the web. You want the 5MM haboiti silk. It only comes in white but it is 36" wide and costs about $3 a yard.

RE: How many people would buy a 1"-1 1/4" spinner?

I think that there is a very good totally untapped market out there. I would take a few to start and then there is a new one after every crash.
