RE: Slash 4x4 or 2WD for bashing?

I was in the same situation. I bash out in the woods where there are roots, vines, and junk and thought I would need 4x4. I couldn't justify the price and went with a Blitz. It has been awesome. ...

RE: Zippy Lipo: How can they be so much cheaper?

Hmm after doing more research it seems that there are only 2-3 lipo manufacturers in the would, 2 being in china and the last being in korea. So the lipos down at the local hobby shop are coming off...

RE: who makes a good battery?

But you have to pay 15 dollars shipping and wait 2 weeks to get them plus you need to have a lipo charger and make sure your car has a lipo cut off or you will kill the battery fast. Just things to...

RE: Bad news for Lipo users

It is only by air. Why not put them in crates and ship them by boat?

RE: Zippy Lipo: How can they be so much cheaper?

What makes me mad is that you look at the Zippy lipos for 10 dollars a piece and then you look on tower hobby and they are 60 dollars. That lets me know there is a major mark up in those things. I...

RE: 5000NiMh doing funky stuff any help?

So I decided I'm going to get a charger with more options such as discharing, Lipo capable, etc. I think if I cycle these batteries a few times they should do okay. They are doing better since I've...

RE: 5000NiMh doing funky stuff any help?

So DC power makes a difference then? Also, you said to look for a code. I don't notice a code when the superbrain stops, is it under some option menu?

RE: i want to buy a rc truck.

Is this a wanted ad or something, or are you asking which type of truck you could purchase for 130?

RE: Best Charger?

Great Planes Triton series or Hobbico's Accu-cycle are great chargers.

RE: 5000NiMh doing funky stuff any help?

Well, it just cut off at 40mins at 3.5amps. Also my 1600 cut off after 5 mins charging at 1amp. I'm thinking the superbrain is messed up.

RE: 5000NiMh doing funky stuff any help?

After reading about some peak chargers, I'm thinking this superbrain has an automatic cut off at 90 minutes. Which would make sense. I upped the charge rate to 3.5amp to see if it will hold a full...

5000NiMh doing funky stuff any help?

I recently got back into RCs. I ordered new batteries for my Blitz and RCT18MT. I ordered a Duratrax DTX5000 6cell and a DTX1600 6cell. They did not come with any instructions so I called the...

RE: Searching for a basher!!

Brushless systems are all the rave right now, but for what you are doing I would get the 4.6 for half the price. By the time you buy a good battery, charger, and everything else you will be 700...

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

I prefer electric. The reasons for me:

1.) Weather. The midwest gets 100 degrees in the summer and 10 degrees in the winter. The vast difference makes running nitro year round a PITA.
2.)...

RE: LB Getting Ready for SNOW - Kyosho EP Blizzard DF-300 Thread!

PAW makes diesel RC motors. There is a .15 and .19 and they go way up from there. 2.5cc etc. I'd think the .15 or .19 would be a good fit. They can be had for around 50 dollars on ebay. Here is...

RE: LB Getting Ready for SNOW - Kyosho EP Blizzard DF-300 Thread!

Keep it up though guys. The only way to attract new guys to the Blizzard is for the old guys to hype it up! I'm interested in getting on some time in the future. I've got too many project right...

RE: First offical Independent suspenion rock crawler build

Any updates? Looks like it will be fun. Change out some gearing/motor and you could have a fun tough truck as well. I started building crawlers when the TLT kit was the only way to do it. I had a...

Newbie Question about Receivers and Transmitters

RE: rock crawler or not

Actually I just looked on tower hobbies, it will only cost 209 and they have an order pending. I might have to pick one up after all for my next scale build :)

RE: rock crawler or not

I don't know too much about the WK package, it may be a good choice for someone just getting into the rock crawling scene. I don't know too much about the tranny in it, but if it is the same size...
