Follow the template that comes with the boat for the bolt pattern. I have sold twenty of these boats and all the K&B engines have been mounted using an Octura adjustable mount with no spacer.

"Texas cut" is "old school". Tongue mods and back cutting will do more for that prop. We just radared one that i did myself at 38mph using the friendly State Police laser.

I have a Proboat Miss Budweiser that has an OS .18 in it. I have a reworked Octura Y535 prop on it and run 30% nitro. It is running right at 40mph and still drives great.

Use a scotchbrite pad to scuff the surface and then just about any paint will stick. You won't have any sanding marks this way.

I beg to differ with you Tachikaze, but I have been doing fiberglass work for over 40 years,and it will work. Set some un-catalyzed resin out in the sun and see what happens.

Ultraviolet light will cure the resin. Set it out in the sun and it will cure.
