Maybe this could be considered "old school", but for me I bashing around with the orginial RC18T (stock) Tough-Good Speed-Long Run Time-Cheap Parts (EBAY).. It gets my vote....

I drive my RC18T up and down the street, or in a parking lot next block over.. The street curbs (next to my driveway) makes a perfect ramp to get airborne.. I run it down the street to get some speed...

I like the HiTec 645mg.. Yes its slow, but for bashing its pretty much all I need..If I ever go racing, then I'll need some advice on high-end units.. Good Luck in whatever you choose to go with......

I too have an Ultra LX and love it, my 1st Nitro.. I have also read alot of negatives about this buggy, but there are also of fellow buggy owners that like the Ultra LX.. I did not want to spend $500...
