RE: SWIFT mini

Breaking a stall with a wing is a pain when tail heavy... expect to put it down unexpectedly. I'd add weight to the small battery, and then buy the right weight battery after you've burned up this...

RE: Enameled Wire??

Yes, it is also called magnet wire. Depending on what you're looking at, it is a bit larger than a hair. I'd guess that 26AWG should be fine for a servo. I'm not sure how light you are building,...

RE: Using Gorilla Glue with Depron

It would be too heavy to coat the entire plane... to get it to puddle up like that, you'd have to put quite a bit on. It seems to me to work better when applied thin... sometimes I glue flat carbon...

RE: Using Gorilla Glue with Depron

My wife sells "Crystal Effects" from Stampin Up... but you can get it at a local craft store and it is typically called a "glaze" (I believe) for giving something a shiny coating. I like it because...

RE: Foamie Trainer

I'd suggest no wind to a light breeze if you are just starting out. I go several months without flying and prefer the early morning to get comfortable again.

In general, I'd say models from...

RE: Practical difference?

The practical difference is the number of windings on the stators. The more windings, the lower the KV, the slower the RPM, the bigger the prop for the same amperage draw.

I'd estimate the AUX...

RE: Recomendation for an PNP Parkflyer?

Duration... my guess is 6-12 minutes depending on how you're flying it. I'm gustimating that it will fly well at 80W/lbs.

RE: Recomendation for an PNP Parkflyer?

I've never flown the Aerobird. I suspect that the Pulse will be quite a bit more challenging that the aerobird. The first mistake I made was too much throw. Because of the speed of the Pulse, it...

RE: Recomendation for an PNP Parkflyer?

Depends what you're looking for. I own the Mini Pulse XT and have flown the Mini Ultra Stick (MUS). The Pulse is a bit more docile than the MUS.. the MUS is a huge jump form the Aerobird in my...

There are two things I use for estimations... but I find that the best thing is just good old fashion trial and error.

RE: BP Hobbies 4120 vx Axi 4120
