RE: smallest 3D plane you know of?

The 75% and 50% Tensors (20" ws & 14" ws)... The 75% has a build-up fuselage with the electronics located inside; makes a very light and strong (rigid) fuselage.

RE: smallest 3D plane you know of?

We scaled down the Tensor to 14" wing span. Comes in a bit heavy, 2.9 Oz, using AON T1215-4100 motor, Phoenix-10 controller, three Cirus 4.4 servos, and Berg 4 ch receiver. It's fully 3-D capable,...

RE: Axi 2212/34 Phonix 25 and prop sizes

We have been running these AXI 2212/34 motors for about 11 months now, and are very impressed with they're ability to swing a heavy load. The best combo for the /34 wind motor is an APC 12 x 6 SF,...

RE: Gear drive V.S. Direct AXI-noise

The AXI is as quiet as it gets; absolutly no gear box noise. The model 2212/34 swings an APC 12 X 6 SF, and will fly a 15 + Oz foamy with good vertical performance for at least 20 minutes on a...

RE: AXI or AXI ... Motors Motors Motors

The 2212/34 swings the APC 12 X 6 SF with ease and produces the most performance from this motor when powered with the new TP 1320 Ma 3-cell packs. Yes the 2212/26 on a 3 cell and APC 11 X 4.7 draws...

RE: Which motor???

"The AXI is not worth the extra cash. The himax on a 6:6:1 gear ratio will smoke it every time."

I do not understand your statement.

Give the 2212/34 or /26 wind a try. I have tested both...

RE: What AXI or outrunner for FoamyFactory Extra

Yes the /34 swings the 12 x 6 props well; we have been running several /34's for the past 8 - 9 months, and are very pleased with their performance / economy. We get 25 minute flight times on the...

RE: Lost Foam Molding for 1/2A

Have you ever tried the blue foam or does the pink stuff sand and shape better than other foam?

Thanks for sharing; I really enjoy learning these "How-to" bits!

Usually I have a brief look here each evening; been busy working and doing rotorwing related stuff. I'd like to see another contest in the future, the last one was fun!

Hello Matt,

The field adjacent to the UNLV Silver Bowl Stadium is a Clark County Park's model flying site and is open to any AMA member. You will find a variety of airplanes and helicopters there.

magnum .061
