I was taking the measure from the tube vice the clunk. If it is based on the clunk then I should be okay. Thanks for that. I hope my Spit will look as good as the ones being showcased here. Keep up...

Anybody concerned that the fuel tank as installed by "the book" has the centerline of the tank about 1 3/8 inch higher than the carb spray bar? I am concerned that this will cause a flooding problem....
