GSP P-47 Anyone have one of these?

Looking at getting a GSP P-47 and wondering if anyone has any experience with this plane and what they think of it as a low-cost warbird?
I've got 120 4s looking for a home.

Thanks,
Mark

RE: CMP spitfire color matching question

Chuck, thanks for the information. I think I'll go with your suggestion to use the standard colors.

RE: CMP spitfire color matching question

I think the top side is Dark Green and Dark Earth. I'm not sure about the underside though - maybe sky gray? I found one source that said the yellow might be recognition yellow, but not sure.

CMP spitfire color matching question

Looking to modify a CMP spitfire and I was wondering what paint matches the colors on the plane as well as what
would be the correct color yellow to paint the leading edge of the wings?

I've had my optic 6 for over a year now and have never had a problem until the other day when I turned it on and got the AAAA bug for model 1. I ended up copying the model memory from number 4 to 1...

Well, made the first flight on mine today. Plane has a Magnum 91-4s up front with an APC 14x6. The engine came out of another plane and runs really well. I did install onboard glow (bascially...

RE: Hanger 9 AT-6

Just wondering how much of the dummy radial engine between the fake cylinders did you guys cut out? I'm using a magnum 91FS and was planning on just removing the area between the cylinders where the...

Magnum .61 4-stroke runs poorly

Update.

Well, I ended up doing a few things although I'm not entirely sure what may have fixed the problem. I ended up taking the carb apart and cleaning it. I also readjusted the valves,...

Magnum .61 4-stroke runs poorly

Thanks flapbreaker. The tank neck mounts through the firewall and it appears they are not bent. At first I thought it was my fuel filler that may have been leaking air, but I eliminated that and I'm...

Magnum .61 4-stroke runs poorly

You may be right. I have a 91 that runs flawlessly so perhaps this one just needs some factory attention. Better to send it in than lose the plane.

Magnum .61 4-stroke runs poorly

Thanks. I'm actually running the OS F plug and still nada. I checked the valve clearance again and it is right where .1mm is a snug fit a TDC. Idle is good up to the point of about 1/2 throttle or so...

Magnum .61 4-stroke runs poorly

So, this is a fairly new Magnum .61 4-stroke that
has had about a gallon of fuel run through it.
The problem has developed where I was getting a pretty good full throttle rpm of 9-9.1k but the...

Kyosho PT-17

I put a Magnum .61 4-stroke on mine. It flies quite nicely with this engine.

Kyosho Stearman Engine ?

Thanks for the input. I've decided to go with the Magnum 61. I have a .91 and it did require a bit of breakin time, but after that I'm really quite happy with it. I think I'll bench run the engine a...

Kyosho Stearman Engine ?

I have seen where folks have used an OS52 and have been happy with this setup. I have a Magnum 61FS and I'm wondering what folks thoughts are on using this engine. Is it overkill for this plane?
